Gothic - The Movie

Have you ever wanted to see a movie version of one of your favourite games? Here's an idea: a group of fans of the Gothic series, have created a movie made-up of the many in-game cinematic sequences and also some custom scenes in order to make other people understand and get interested into the story behind the game.<-125x125 Button - left-> The original version of this movie has been made by using German language cinematics and scenes, but in this second edition there have been some small changes (not essential) as to adapt it for the English version. As a special treat for our readers, we wish you Happy New Year and here's the movie made by the Gothic fans, in two parts. Both parts are about 1 hour long (each!) so take your time and enjoy the story:

Short Movie Inspired By Halo 3

Ok, this is something that needs to be watched by all Halo game fans - this is "real" action movie in which we get to see how a real mission from Halo 3 would looks like. We can always hope to see a fully featured movie based on the Halo series, but until then we would have to settle for such random videos on the Internet.Warning: some scenes are very "graphic" and the video is rated 17+.

Bullet Time

Have you ever wondered how do they really make this video effect (slowing time to see the details, that is)? You might have encountered this really awesome ability in the Max Payne video game, The Matrix movie trilogy (of course), in Enter The Matrix and Matrix Online video games and in newer games like Gears of War, Area 51, Crysis and many other games. It appears in a few varied forms with even more interesting names, but it is literally the same old "bullet time" trick. Why do they call it bullet time? Because the time speed gets so slow under this effect that one can see and dodge bullets after they have been fired and moving slowly towards their target. The catch is that the main character in the game or the movie can move at bullet speed when compared to the maximum speed a normal person can reach. In the video below you see how this effect was achieved in the Matrix movies.
