World of Warcraft Arena Tournament Item List Is Ready

World of Warcraft doesn't need any introduction, but World of Warcraf Arena Tournament sounds a bit different, don't you think? Anyway, we're not talking about something different, since this is a tournament based on WoW's Arena System, but the tournament here may be a bit different to what you're expecting...

WoW

The teams participating in the 5-vs-5 Arena matches and being good enough to go higher will grab a spot for playing at live events and - obviously - win prizes. The tournament will have two qualifying rouns, after which live regional tournaments will follow. At last, everything will grow really big, with a global final event. On the actual tournament realms, the PvE content will be disabled, but you'll be able to train in the new public test realm that has just opened. To find out more about the tournament and the items you can grab before getting into the heat of battle, feel free to visit this page.

Cradle Of Rome Gets Updated

While hardcore gamers are a distinct category of computer users, it is well known that casual gamers are forming an entire army, since last reports from Microsoft claim that over 85 percent of Windows users play some games from time to time. Simple games like Zuma or Solitaire are exactly for those that only play from time to time, and Cradle of Rome, despite its name suggesting a strategy game, is also such a game...

Cradle of Rome

Basically, we're talking about an interesting mixture of a strategy city building game, like Caesar, and a major casual component set (think about Tetris, for example). While building forges, mills, fountains, and other buildings sounds interesting, all you have to do is to complete some intuitive and addictive puzzles.

To me, this game is only an advanced Tetris game with an inspired history theme, decent graphics and sounds, but I am sure a lot of people will be crazy about it, especially since its system requirements are very low for this time, and a single user license is priced at $19.95.

If you want to play this game, there are no less than three ways to do it - download the free version, play it in your browser, or buy the full version, all available on this page.

Infogrames Gets A New President

Founded way back in June 1983, Infogrames Entertainment SA is an international holding headquartered in Lyon, France, which owns 51.2 percent of Atari, and produces, publishes and distributes games for virtually any major game console and computer platform. The list of notorious products involving Infogrames includes Alone in the Dark, Civilisation III, Unreal Tournament and RollerCoaster Tycoon, to name just a few. Now, they just refreshed their top management team, with a new president...

Former president of Sony, Phil Harrison just arrived at Infogrames in the same position. Since we're talking about a French company, his title is, in fact "directeur general delegue", and its task is to oversee the studios' activity and the content development for the group.

As an addition to Harrison's entry in the company, Infogrames also appointed Mathias Hauterfort as executive vice president and chief operating officer with the role of head of global distribution, in charge with Atari's operations in the US, Asia and Europe.
