StarCraft 2 Is Closer

StarCraft was, is, and will remain one game that influenced hundreds that came after it, and also managed the impressive performance to remain in the hearts (and computers!) of one generation after another. Just think about how popular was this game in the last decade, and I won't have to add anything else...at least regarding StarCraft, since StarCraft 2 is getting closer and closer with each day...

StarCraft 2

StarCraft 2, expected by legions of gamers for ages, was announced for the first time on the 19th of May, 2007, in Seoul, South Korea. Unlike StarCraft, which was released at different dates on each major platform, StarCraft 2 is currently under development for being released simultaneously on Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS X. Unfortunately, there is no certain release date, despite the fact that a multiplayer demo was already playable at BlizzCon 2007.

As you can see in the two images above, more and more screenshots from the game become available these days, but the release date is still a secret (or simply unknown even by the producers of the game), so for now, we should simply site back and enjoy what we have, hoping the game's release date is getting closer. After all, better to wait longer for an excellent game, than get a bad one in time, don't you agree?

Dark Sector Is Gold

If you got a PlayStation 3 at hand, and you also like thrillers, then I have some good news for you - D3Publisher of America announced its highly anticipated action thriller game, Dark Sector, reached gold status!

Dark Sector

"Dark Sector fans have been waiting for this moment and we're pleased to say that after months of tweaking and polishing, the game is ready to entertain and
wow gamers," said Peter Andrew, D3PA's vice president of product development.So...what should we expect from this game? Based on the Evolution Engine, Dark Sector is a game that offers a dark, terrifying experience, but you won't get the chance to take things slow, because you also have an engaging story to enjoy, fast action and amazing superpowers to use!

The only problem for the younger ones may be the fact that Dark Sector is rated "M"(Mature - blood, gore, intense violence and strong language) by the ESRB, but other than that, getting into the skin of Hayden Tenno and explore the decaying Easter European city hiding its deadly Cold War secret should be a pleasant and thrilling experience for those old enough to play this game.

The Orange Box Opens

If "The Orange Box" sounds like something new to you, then I strongly suggest that you click here and read our extensive review of a part of this excellent game package from Valve, namely Half Life 2: Episode 2. Apart from it, the game compilation known as "The Orange Box" also includes the first episode of Half Life 2, together with the puzzle game Portal and the long-awaited team-based FPS Team Fortress 2. Valve Corporation released this package back in October 2007, and now they decided to make the titles available separately...

Half Life 2

On the 9th of April, there will be exactly 6 months since the official release of The Orange Box, and since that date, the box will be splitted as it follows: Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two will remain together, but Portal and Team Fortress 2 will be sold individually.

While Valve didn't announce any pricing details yet, some retailers are already listing Team Fortress 2 and Portal for $19.99 each, while the two Half Life 2 episodes come for a price of $29.99. Since nothing is sure for now, we'll get back to this issue if something changes.
