Rock Band…Disturbed!

Developed by Harmonix Music Systems, published by MTV Games, and distributed by EA Distribution, Rock Band is one of those video games I'd kill for. Currently, the only thing keeping me away from it is the fact that Rock Band is only available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and the Wii, but I will take care of that, I have no worries for the future. Sooner or later, I'll have to get a game console, no matter how much I despised this idea in the past.

Anyway, today we won't talk about how cool Rock Band may be, because there are some problems we should know about - Konami is suing Harmonix, Viacom and MTV Networks. Well, here we have the disturbed Rock Band...or Rock Band disturbed, whatever, because I am sure this is not something to overlook for the targeted companies.
<-125x125 Button - right->
According to the complaint filed yesterday in Marshall, Texas, Konami is trying to get cash compensation and an order to block Viacom and Harmonix from using the peripherals included in the game, since its 2002 and 2003 patents covered simulated musical instruments, as well as a "musical-rhythm matching game."

I know the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series are better known to the gaming community, but Konami also has its own Guitar Freaks series, first released back in 1999 in arcades, and then moved to PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Anyway, the conclusion is...there's no conclusion yet, since Viacom has yet to receive a complaint from Konami, so there's nothing else to say, for now.

Age Of Conan Digital Download

Less than 30 minutes ago, I received an email that almost made me jump out of my chair, cheering. No, I didn't manage to win any prize, and Angelina Jolie is not going to drop Brad Pitt for me, either. Anyway, since I mentioned Angelina Jolie(still boiling hot as a mother of two-three-doesn't matter how many, in my opinion), let me tell you this: "which is the most brutal, savage and sexy online game?" Yeah, got that right, I'm talking about Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures!

I don't know if you have seen any of those Age of Conan trailers so far, but that doesn't really matter now - you can easily go to YouTube and search for them, it can't be too hard! Now, back to the game - here's what Funcom has to say about its creation: "'Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures' is a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMO) brought to life using next-generation Nvidia graphics technology that thrusts the player into the savage, sexy and brutal domain of the world's greatest fantasy hero. Heralded as one of the most anticipated PC games in development, 'Age of Conan' is the winner of multiple industry awards such as 'Best Online Game' at E3 and the Games Convention, and is also a key title in Microsoft's Games for Windows line-up." Now, just look at the picture above, if you missed all those movies and want to get a better idea about what's happening here...;)

Regarding the savagery and violence...that's something you have to see in full motion, believe me! Anyway, if Age of Conan seems like something new, here you have the main features of the game:
<-250x250 Square - right->
An advanced combat system lets you choose every cut, thrust, and swing in real time.

Groundbreaking graphics and advanced DirectX 10 features plunge you into a world of breathtaking beauty.

A massive fantasy world based on over 75 years of books, movies, art, and music, developed in close collaboration with Conan Inc. to ensure the most realistic Conan experience ever seen.

An unprecedented character development and customization system with combo attacks, skills, special abilities, and deadly spells ensures no two characters are exactly the same.

Massive Player Versus Player combat. Capture battlekeeps and wage epic warfare between players and guilds, or hire yourself out as a mercenary and battle for pay!

New and exotic classes, such as the Demonologist, Herald of Xotli, and Dark Templar, along with incredible twists on classics like the Ranger and Assassin.

A detailed and engrossing crafting system, allowing you to make everything from armor and weapons to an entire city!

Hundreds of unique quests for combat and crafting with extensive NPC interaction and voice acting, immersing you in the living world of King Conan.

An extensive story-driven single player adventure to start the game drawing you deep into the scheming, seduction, intrigue, and betrayal of Hyboria.

While the system requirements may seem a bit out of this world for those with older computers, Age of Conan alone it may be worth a system upgrade, especially with the latest Radeon HD 4870 X2 cards from ATI being just around the corner, with a great price...

What else do I have to say....of yeah, the mail I mentioned at the beginning was about the Age of Conan digital download method available from now to get the game, and if you have a download manager in place, and your credit card loaded, you can give it a try - price of the game is about $50, and the download is as large as 15GB! If you want to play on a European server or an American one, there's nothing stoping you now, not even the fact that your favorite game store doesn't have Age of Conan in stock any longer!

Call Of Duty Game Cheats

I know Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a great game, and I would play that one 24/24, if I wouldn't have more serious matters to attend to, so I'll leave that one for a later time and get back to those classics I'll never forget. Since I mentioned Call of Duty 4, what if we turn back in time and check some of the cheats available for the original Call of Duty game?

I know some of you may consider this game outdated, but I think a lot of shooters that are worth being played again and again appeared in the last decade, and since Call of Duty was released back in 2003, its graphics don't look that ancient to me...

OK, these being said, let's see what we have in the cheats and codes box, shall we?

To be able to enter cheats, you have to place +set thereisacow 1337 +set developer 1 +set sv_cheats 1 +set monkeytoy 0 at the end of the command line in the shortcut of the Call of Duty game executable. Once you have done that, press the ~ key to get the dev console, and start typing...

god - Invincibility
give all - Get all weapons, items, and ammo
give ammo - Refill ammo for all weapons
give health - Get full health
noclip - Fly through walls
notarget - Enemies ignore you
<-120x240 Vertical Banner - right->
If you get a error message saying "sv_cheats are read only," then you should enter "setrandom sv_cheats 1" in the console before activating codes, but if the error is "cheats are not enabled on this server," be sure to enter "spdevmap <map name>" before activating codes.

At last, since I mentioned maps above, here you have the list, as well as a hint - to select your map in a single player game, press Tab and enter one of the following...

Airfield: map airfield
Berlin: map berlin
Brecourt: map brecourt
Burnville: map burnville
Carride: map carried
Chateau: map chateau
Dam: map dam
Dawnville: map dawnville
Factory: map factory
Hurtgen: map hurtgen
Pathfinder: map pathfinder
Pegasusday: map pegasusday
Powcamp: map powcamp
Railyard: map railyard
Redsquare: map redsquare
rocket: map rocket
sewer: map sewer
Ship: map ship
Stalingrad: map stalingrad
Tank drive country: map tankdrivecountry
Tank drive town: map tankdrivetown
Trainstation: map trainstation
Training: map training
Truckride: map truckride

That's it for today, be sure to have fun!

Hell’s Kitchen Game With Gordon Ramsay

Hell is a very interesting topic, because you get to see it in a lot of movies and computer games, most religions are threatening you with it for your sins, a lot of people believe hell is on this planet, or at least in some of its areas but, above anything else, hell is very good for media sales! Just think about all those Hell's Angels movies, those "Hell" movies(search for them on IMDB, there are quite a few, although most of them are pretty obscure), games like Clive Barker's Jericho or Devil May Cry, and many other media products that are related to this topic, including the American competitive reality television series Hell's Kitchen, which is just next to our subject, Ubisoft's Hell's Kitchen: The Video Game...

Now, Gordon Ramsay easily moved from a real kitchen to a virtual one, and it seems he even enjoyed the experience. The game allows its players to experience the high-pressure kitchen and dining room from the TV show, challenged as a 3D Chef Ramsay watches their every move, and provides feedback, using the voice of the real Gordon. "I had a great time doing the voice for my own animation. Being in a video game is a new experience for me and I'm very pleased with the results," said Hell's Kitchen Chef.

The funny part of this game is that you can even learn something useful in real life, since each order is carefully executed - preparation, cooking and service, and as you move on further inside the game, you are being rewarded exclusive recipes from Ramsay's own repertoire. Sweet!(or spicy, depends...)
<-125x125 Button - right->
According to Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft North America, "Hell's Kitchen has everything a great video game needs: pressure, excitement and intense competition. We are very excited to be bringing the intensity of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and the Hell's Kitchen experience to the virtual world this fall."

Just great! Now it's too hot to spend time in the kitchen, anyway, so having the game available in early September should be just fine, to have enough time to practice and get ready for Christmas. Am I right, or not?

Cheats For The Sims Deluxe Edition

The Sims is the best selling PC game on Earth, so how is it possible not to find any decent results when looking for "cheats for the Sims Deluxe Edition?!?" Anyway, don't worry - I have my geek friend! You don't remember him? Well, let me give you a few hints: GTA 4 Cheats For PS3, GTA 4 Cars, GTA 4 Bikes, and that wild party last weekend! Oh, you can skip the party, our parties are not open to the public, so you'll need to hang around with us for a while to get an invite! Now, let's see what could I get from this friend of mine regarding The Sims...

As usual, you should be really careful when using cheats. Be sure to store your game saves in a safe place. While in most cases everything works well, it can always go wrong...if you happened to get a save game corrupted after playing for a week a certain game, then you surely know what I am talking about here, and that feeling of impending doom you get in such situations!

OK, so here's what I got - first, since money makes the world go around, let's add some money into the pot, don't you think this is a good idea? Well, to get 1000 Simoleons, hold Ctrl+Shift+C, and when the box appears on the top left corner of the screen, type in "rosebud."(no quotation marks) The good part is that this is an unlimited cheat, so you can go on a money making spree, and use it a thousand times, to become a Sims millionaire!<-125x125 Button - right->

Unfortunately, my friend couldn't squeeze more than just another code from the game, so here it is - to unlock, check and fix required lot objects, press Ctrl+Shift+C, and then type in "prepare_lot."

I know this may not be too much, but my friend just recalled those great days when he was playing The Sims Deluxe like crazy, so he promised me to write down some game tricks and hints. Let's hope he will keep his promise to deliver them to me by this month's end. A lot of time ago, he disappeared for over a month! Do you want to know the reason? Diablo! :)
