Stargate Online Game

Did you watch at least one of the Stargate movies, if not the whole series AND the feature films? If this sounds like something new to you, welcome to the world! More than anything else, "Stargate" is a science fiction media franchise owned by MGM since 1994, when the movie with the same name was released. In the meantime, Stargate SG-1(1997-2007) and Stargate Atlantis(since 2004) arrived as pretty succesful TV series, accompanied by a few DVD movies, already released or still in the making, like Stargate: The Ark of Truth or Stargate: Continuum. Now, we can also add a computer game to the collection!
Stargate Worlds
Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment is the company in charge with the upcoming MMO, Stargate Worlds. Today, G4 Network's X-Play episode will host the official debut of in-game footage from the game. I watched some of the movies and a part of the TV series, and I must admit the screenshots I've seen so far don't look bad at all, but it seems there's still a long road ahead, until we'll get to the point when Stargate Worlds arrives on our computers.

I don't have any supernatural powers, and I can't tell when is this going to happen, but since the X-Play team got their footage playing a pre-alpha build, you can figure out for yourselves the game is far from being ready. Even more, the team also had a chance to talk about the game with Studio Head Dan Elggren, Creative Director Chris Klug and Art Director Howard Lyon.

Unfortunately, we weren't that lucky, so this is all we got on Stargate Worlds for now, but be sure I'll get back to it as soon as something new pops up!

Cheaper Xbox 360 Consoles

Usually, we're talking about games here, because that's what we all do - gaming, but sometimes, we also have to take a look at our weapons. Obviously, I am not talking about those in-game weapons because, for most hardcore games, having at least a gaming console somewhere in the house is not an option. No, not an option, because it's a MUST. The bad part is that, considering those deals made by Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft to get exclusivity for some titles, you may end up with no less than 3 consoles. The good part is that one of them just go cheaper...
Xbox 360 Human Chain
Since Xbox 360 sales seem to go downhill, Microsoft plans to drop the price of the "Pro" version, as well as to introduce a new 60GB model, but these are only rumors, for now. Anyway, rumors about price drops usually prove to be true, sooner or later, so let's see what should we expect from Microsoft's Xbox 360(with these rumors, it's obvious a lot of people will wait for the price drop to occur, so sales will go down even more, leading to these lower prices becoming reality), shall we?

The Xbox 360 20GB, now retailing for $349, is expected to drop to $299 later this month, and the 60GB model expected to drop by in the same period should be priced at $349. According to various sources, the 20GB model will be discontinued shortly after that.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a plan targeting only the US market, which is pretty sad. Even more, in the US market, the Xbox 360 Arcade will remain at $279, and the high-end Xbox 360 Elite, at $449.99, without any improvements.
