Download Free Shooter, Anyone

Looking to download free shooter games? Good, that doesn't mean you have to end up with some pirated versions of commercial releases, because there are a bunch of awesome shooters freely available all over the Web! Anyway, finding them can be a bit harder, and that's why today I will tell you about my latest find, namely Combat Arms.
Combat Arms free shooter game
Coming from South Korea, this game is a free FPS game made by Nexon Corp, allowing you to enjoy one of the 6 game modes available - Elimination (Team Deathmatch), One Man Army (Deathmatch), Search & Destroy (Bomb mode), Spy Hunt (Bounty Hunter), Capture the Flag, and - hell, yeah!!! - Snowball fight.

The system requirements are extremely low for a shooter released in mid 2008, and that's another strong point of Combat Arms. Just read them below:

- Windows XP or Windows Vista Home Premium
- Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
- 512 MB RAM
- GeForce FX 5600
- DirectX 9.0c
- 2.0 GB free HD space
- 128 kbit/s ADSL or equivalent

Of course that minimum system requirements are much lower, but you don't want to get THAT LOW, I assure you!

Other than the above, I have nothing to say, for now. In the future, maybe we'll even have a Combat Arms review here, who knows, but for now...you should say "thank you" for this chance to download free shooter goodness right from Asia! ;)

BASE Jumping Accidents – No More!

Have you ever jumped off... something? Every time I think about free falling, I get a chill down my spine, but if I would have the chance to do it, I wouldn't think twice. Anyway, without proper training first of all, I will probably go "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" all the way, and miss all the real fun. The good part with games is that you can jump off high buildings(think about Assassin's Creed, for example) without any risks of ending up six feet under...

BASE Jumping

...so what would you do if you would have the chance to play a title with a very suggestive name, the most suggestive name I have ever heard so far in a game - "AAaaaAAaaaaaaAAAaaaaAAaaa!!! A Reckless Disregard for Gravity," would you grab it, or not?

The official announcement makes things very clear about BASE jumping and the purpose of this game -

"BASE Jumping (short for Building, Antenna, Span, Earth) has never been a sport for the masses—it's too dangerous, and it's tough to get permission to jump off of the Burj Dubai.

That all changes when Dejobaan Games brings its own wonderfully twisted take on the sport to the PC. How late can you deploy your chute before you end up a squishy bag of broken bones? How far can you trust your helmet's proximity meter before you splatter against a window like a bug on a highway... As you descend, you toss the spectators a thumbs-up —or flip them off— to boost your score."

Yes, my friends, here's a game that will probably save some lives! Unfortunately, this one is scheduled for the third quarter of 2009, on the PC, so console gamers will have to return to their computers from time to time, at least until the producer of this game decides to come up with some console version...
