Nintendo DSi, US Launch!

Remember the Nintendo DSi? Damn, it was so hard just to sit back and wait, while Japanese gamers could enjoy the portable console for months! Unfortunately, the wait is not over yet, but at least we know exactly when it's going to hit the East Coast. Oh, it's also going to hit the West Coast. In fact, it's going to invade the US!

Since we know already that the Nintendo DSi will feature the DSi built-in camera and a memory card extension, there's only one question remaining - when? Fortunately, this is no longer a rumor, because Nintendo of America made public the long awaited day of the Nintendo DSi US launch: April 5, 2009.

According to Cammie Dunaway, executive VP of sales and marketing at Nintendo of America, "Ever since the arrival of the first Game Boy, consumers worldwide have turned to Nintendo for their portable gaming. Nintendo DSi builds on Nintendo's commitment to bringing fun and creative entertainment to everyone, and will allow consumers to personalize and share their very own experiences."

As we all know, it's a crisis. More or less, that depends on how you look at it, but I am sure that, despite the economic climate, as long as you have a decent job, $169.99 can't be too much for the Nintendo DSi. In fact, I think it's a bargain, especially if we add my two favorite colors into the equation - black and white, these being the two versions available at launch!

Mass Effect 2 News

If you played Mass Effect, finished the game, and then erased everything, including the save game files, I think you should start it all over, with a different character, maybe. Not necessarily to try and save the Krogan, although that would be a good thing to keep in mind. The idea is that, according to what we know already, you'll take your old character from Mass Effect, and play on in Mass Effect 2!
Mass Effect 2 News
According to Casey Hudson, Project Director for BioWare, the decisions made in the first game will continue to have influences in the sequel, and if I will be able to use the Krogan in Mass Effect 2, that's enough to be worth playing it all over again!

Fortunately, those who will only want to play Mass Effect 2 will be able to get a new character, and find out one and another about the story elements they missed, but I wouldn't advise anyone to miss the first game in the series. Do whatever it takes, take a medical leave of absence, quit your job, just don't miss Mass Effect!

Now, the Platinum Hits edition of the game, we get hints about the upcoming downloadable content for the first Mass Effect game, where Shepard will arrive on a "casino, gaming, Fight Club, space station," but that's about it. I guess we should wait and see exactly what addition will get Mass Effect, but...

...other than being able to import characters from Mass Effect into Mass Effect 2, we know that Mass Effect 2 will arrive on multiple platforms, and the release should take place between January and March 2010. Well, that leaves us enough time to enjoy Mass Effect at least once more, don't you think? :)

Capcom VISA Card

I am not crazy about credit cards, but I am not afraid of them, either. I only have two of them, and I think that's enough, but I can't stop laughing when I think about those associating credit cards with the number of the beast and who can't sleep at night thinking about conspiration theories. Unfortunately, I have no gaming-themed credit card, but I think I would grab one, if given the chance.
Capcom Visa Cards
Since I am not always lucky, for now I have to give you the good news of new Capcom Visa cards, limited to the US market, for now. OK, so we have a Capcom Visa card, but what can we have ON it, from the visual point of view?

The pre-paid debit cards I mentioned have designs based on Bionic Commando, Street Fighter IV, and Resident Evil 5, and the interesting part is that cardholders will get access to closed beta tests, competitions, limited-edition stuff, and even invitations to various game launch parties and price cuts for attending Comic Con and other similar events!

Damn, that's what I would also like to get with a card, but until then...here's how you can get these Capcom-branded Visa beauties: $9.95 for the card, and an initial minimum deposit of $10. Monthly fee goes as high as $4.95, with the maximum deposit allowed on any given day being $2,500, and the total balance ceiling going as high as $5,000.

Oh, yeah, one more thing - you'll also get 15 percent discount on all Capcom online store products, so this is simply looking great! That's it folks, I am out of words, I am going to cry in my corner now. I hate my bank! :|
