Best Online Games Are Getting Better!

Looking for best online games is almost impossible, and I said "looking," not "finding," be sure to note that! Why am I going so far? Well, the answer is simple - I don't think there's any gamer on this planet who also has a normal real world life who can find enough time to try them all, that's it! For most, chance plays a very important part, and I must confess chance was also the main factor that pushed me into Aeria Games' realm...

So far, we talked about more than just Project Torque or Twelve Sky here, and today I have to give you some awesome news - Aeria Games just gave away $10 worth of Aeria Points to all gamers currently having an account with them! Just to make it clear, you can get a free account, and then receive $10 worth of premium points that can enrich your gaming experience with Aeria Games' titles.

Currently, Aeria Games has a pretty long list of free to play online games, and I must confess that the ones I tried so far could easily go into a "best online games" top. The entire list includes the following titles: Last Chaos, Twelve Sky, Project Torque, Shaiya, Dream of Mirror Online, Megaten, Cronous, Dreamlords, Stone Age 2, Pi Story, Turf Battles, Goldslam, and Richman Online.

One of the most interesting facts worth being mentioned about them is the controversy generated when allowing Dream of Mirror Online players to pursue same-sex relationships, if they want to. Obviously, we're talking about virtual relationships, inside the world of the game...

Now, to make it finally clear that Aeria Games' best online games are getting even better, here's the most exciting part of the email I got a few hours ago, apart from the 1,000 Aeria Points I received - "Shaiya just launched Episode 4; Last Chaos will have the Expansion Pack 2 shortly; MegaTen, DOMO and Project Torque will have new contents in the next few weeks," so if you missed diggin' Aeria Games so far, it's never too late - go ahead and enjoy yourselves!

Halo 3 Trailers… For A Price!

Do you know how much can I hate Halo 3? You have no idea, I tell you! Just to give you a hint, when I think about Vista, I can say I really love it... but only when put side to side with Halo 3! I'm not crazy, don't worry, but if there's something I hate more than rude people and bad music, that's great games only available on consoles!

Halo 3 Trailers For All

Despite the fact Halo 3 is a Xbox 360-exclusive, that didn't stop it from selling over 8 million copies until January, 2008, turning it instantly into the best seller of 2007 in the US. I should get a console, that's a clear fact, it's only the fact that I keep saying that and I always bump into some better way to spend my money... or time, because it's more about time, than money.

Anyway, while a prequel to Halo 3, called Halo 3: ODST is currently under development, there's something new about Halo 3 trailers. What about them? Heh, it's not simply about Halo 3 trailers, but YOUR Halo 3 trailers! Unfortunately, they don't come for free...

... but here's the story, so you can decide if paying for your own Halo 3 game footage is worth the buck or not: Render-to-Video has entered Public Beta stage, and this is nothing more, nothing less, but a service to provide you Halo 3 trailers for a charge.

Basically, you can render your gameplay data at standard 640X360 resolution, but also as full 720p, which isn't bad at all, if you ask me! Each time you render a Halo 3 trailer, you will be charged points based on the length and resolution of your video. Pretty easy, don't you think?

For now, Beta users get a number of free points, but as soon as the service will start working at full speed and features, anyone will be able to purchase as many points as they need/can afford.

Leaving this aside, maybe we'll also get to know something about a Halo 3 for PC... but that's a completely different story, and so far, all we have is hope. Could be that kind of "Duke Nukem Forever" hope, but at least it's not dead yet. :|

Grand Theft Auto Download – For Free!!!

Leaving aside all the junk that I get in absolutely every email account I made public, there's still enough left to read on a daily basis. Obviously, I am not talking only about emails with news from friends and family, because even newsletters and press releases have their own surprises. A few hours ago, for example, I was simply struck by some amazing news, and I really have to share that with you, but first...
GTA 2 for Free
... let's talk a little about piracy, shall we? We all heard about software piracy, but I don't think many of you are facing my problems. What kind of problems? Well, think about trying to explain some kids with parents that have nothing to do with computers that they can't get a Grand Theft Auto download for free, and then we'll talk again about piracy!

Fortunately, the answer came as not one Grand Theft Auto download, but two of them! Yupp, I am talking about the ability to download Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2 FOR FREE!

Yesterday, Rockstar decided to make available for download three golden oldies, as a part of its "Rockstar Classics" initiative. To find out more about the story in each of the two first Grand Theft Auto games, just visit this page.

To get the games, all you need to do is become a member of the Rockstar Games mailing list. The sweet spot of the whole deal is that, at least according to Rockstar, the games are "optimized for play on modern PCs," and it would be really interesting to compare their behavior with that of the original releases on modern PCs, especially those running Windows Vista.

Back in those days, I played both Grand Theft Auto games and enjoyed them a lot, so I won't get back to them now, but I am sure there are a lot of people who missed them back then, most of them simply because they were too young, so... go ahead and stop saying that Rockstar never gave you anything! ;)
