On September 18, 2009, seller Robert Szeleney released the first version of "Rope'n'Fly 2", the successor of the "Rope'n'Fly" which had to be discontinued due to legal issues regarding the characters appearance. Even so, this might not be a bad thing since the sequel is pretty good, maybe even better than the original game. Even more, if you chose to buy this game within the first available version you should rest assured that the next versions will be added as free updates.

The 1.0 version is now for sale on App Store for only $0.99 price tag. This game is developed for both iPod touch and iPhone running the second or third generation operating system for the iPhone mobile platform. The game play is quite simple, you just have to use the ropes to swing from one building to another (spider-man anyone?). The main purpose is to do that as long as you can without falling. The graphics are simple, but fluid not needing the most advanced processors from the latest iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 3rd generation. In the graphic department I should also remind the ragdoll effect of your character, the "3D" buildings which don't look like 3D elements but the depth added makes them 3D, real time changing weather, new game models, and new buildings.

The controls are not necessary intuitive but they are easy to use once you get the bigger picture. Just on a tower to throw your rope, the second touch will release the restrain, and you should be able to use the acceleration to simply fly, and when you are close enough to the next building just touch on it to through your rope onto it. To offer a complete package, the developer added some nice sound effects. But in case you might want to listen to something else you should know the game enables the possibility of listening to your own playlists. Play as much as you can to obtain unlock able achievements. Even more, this game features the Open Feint integration, and the multi user support.

Believe it or not, "Rope'n'Fly 2" developer has two versions submitted to Apple. Until now neither the 1.0.1 nor the 1.1 was released on the App Store. The first version, 1.0.1, improves the sound settings, and improves several issues and user interface. The next version, that should be released until October 30, 2009, will bring a new game play mode, with the first released city, Vienna. Overall, "Rope'n'Fly 2" delivers a fun, stress free game for a small price tag of $0.99. This game is either lovable or hate able, and the only one's opinion that matters is the potential buyer's opinion.
