AARP Card Games
AARP (which stands for American Association of Retired Persons), is a non-governmental and non-profit organization for people of age 50 and above. It has the goal to enhance the quality of the life for the older persons, and to offer a wide range of benefits, products and services for its members. Beside this, the company also sells insurances, investment funds and other financial products counting more than 35 million members today. And this makes it one of the largest organizations for people over 50 years old in United States.
Among the products and services offered by the AARP you can find: health and car insurances, vacation packages, cruises, lodging, life insurance, credit cards, health and pharmacy services, legal services and others. There is even a AARP magazine dedicated to all the members and fans of this organization. By browsing through the official site of the company (which is aarp.org), and going to the “Leisure” category, and then into “Games”, you will find some cool and fun flash games, that you can play in your free time. And we all know that the retired persons have a lot of free time, so you will definitely enjoy these games.

There are a few game categories (arcade games, card games, strategy games, word games, sports and multiplayer games), but today we are going to focus on just one category, the AARP card games. You don’t even need to be a member of the organization to be able to play these games, so anyone no matter their age can enter this site, and play some fun flash games. In the “Card games” category you will find 7 games, and they are all versions of the famous Solitaire game. These are: Déjà vu Solitaire, Freecell Solitaire, Hollywood Solitaire, Klondike Solitaire, Pyramid Solitaire, Spider Solitaire and Surf Solitaire. If you are looking to just play the simple and famous version of Solitaire, the one that is found on all the Windows operating systems, you should know that this one is the Klondike Solitaire.

I guess you all know how to play that game, so now let’s talk about another one, the Hollywood Solitaire. In this one you will have to click on any two available cards that add up to 13. Available cards are not covered by any other cards. Aces have the value of 1, Jacks have the value 11, Queens - 12 and Kings – 13. So the Kings can be removed with just a simple click. You can use the cards from the pyramid that have no other cards on top of them, and also the cards from the “draw pile” situated in the left side of the screen. So if you have a 5 on the draw pile, you can add him up with a 8 from the pyramid. So after all this is a fun game, with a nice Hollywood graphic and it will test your eyes agility and your speed at making adds. You will have to make the biggest score possible in the allotted time.
