Bookworm Adventures 2
Bookworm Adventures 2 is a sequel of PopCap’s 2007 game that was added RPG elements and presents itself to be an adorable and fun to play game. Bookworm was originally an experience of exercising the abilities to find words among a jumble of letter files. Adding ‘Adventures’ next to the title turns the game into an easy story with foes to fight against at the same time experiencing points to be scored. PopCap has a tradition in creating games that are easy to access to offering a long lasting experience that it is still maintain in this sequel of Bookworm.
The difference between Bookworm and its sequel, Bookworm Adventures, lies in the fact that you was supposed in the former version to connect adjacent tiles to come up with a word, whereas in Adventures you can use any tile whether or not it touches one of your other selected pieces. As a player you are carried through easy stages of battles and even if you are close to death you still can survive being allowed to a health potion. The length of the game however balances the simplicity of the gameplay.
Some features belonging to Bookmark Adventures 2 are common to those presented by PopCap in a recent release: Plants vs. Zombies. Each level you reach enables you to unlock new items, but you are entitled to a restricted number of item slots good to be used in battle, the best thing for you left is to select the right tools for the job. The story of the game is separated in three books, each chapter consisting of ten chapters that casts a lot of foes toward you till you end up being the chapter boss.The hero of the game is Lex, a bookworm whose ‘job’ is to encourage you while you spell big words during the battle. Depending on the length a complexity of the word, the dimension of the damage to be faced is measured. The dictionary provided by the game has abbreviations and censures the vulgar words; while experiencing different tile combinations you can learn also new words. Bookmark adventures 2 presents itself as a game full of innocent humor translated in a silly note with characters displayed in a shape of paper doll manner that looks somehow poor but remaining still exciting. The experience is slow but gradually enhancing the rhythm by throwing more and more items and guys always tougher than the previous, but this graduation is not necessary hastily presented, but a leisurely pace. The IGN scored the game 9 in regard to the presentation, 7.5 for graphics, 8.5 for sound, 8.0 for the gameplay and 8.5 for Lasting Appeal, the overall scoring reaching 8.3 meaning an impressive game to play.
