The computers and the internet had become very popular these days, so we can’t even imagine how the world would be today without them. You can use them for so many activities: for example you can read news and all kinds of information, you can communicate with friends from anywhere around the world, you can watch movies, listen to music, but you can also have a lot of fun. A very good method of having fun is to play a video game. There many types of video games to play and they can be video games that you can buy from CD-s or DVD –s and which you have to install, and also free online games. Like we said they are very diverse, and you will find a game from each category possible. If you are fan of card games, you will be able to find many free online card games. So this is what we are going to talk about in this article, and we’ll choose some random card games from the internet and play them.

Let’s begin with the game called “52 card pick up”. Your objective in this game is pretty simple, you will have to remove all the cards from the pile, as fast as you can. Start by clicking any card you want, and then click on all of them to remove them. The game is not that simple, and you can remove a card only if it is smaller or bigger from the last card you added. For example if the last card is a 4, then you can remove only a 3 or a 5. All the cards will be placed on a table, and they will be positioned randomly. You can click on any card on the table, even on those who are way below. Try to move as fast as possible because you have only 2 minutes available. For each correct card that you click you will gain points, but you will lose them if you click on a wrong card. You can also click on cards of the same type. For example if your last card is a J, then you can add another J on top of it. After the two minutes are up, you will be able to compare your score with others, or you can try it again. Good luck, and think fast!

Let’s choose another card game called the “Bumper cards”. This one is a combination of the famous Solitaire and 21 games. Your goal here is to add cards in each of the four slots until they total 21. Be careful not to go over 21 and bust. You will have in front of you four slots, and each has a big yellow “Hit me” button under them. A card will be drawn from the deck, and you will see it on top of the screen. Click the “Hit me” button of the slot where you want to place that card. There is no need for you to make the calculations because you will have the sum written on the screen, for each of the slots. Your only concern is to be careful where you place the cards, without exceeding 21. You will also be able to see the next 3 cards that are coming, so this way you can make mental calculations and see where it’s best to place each card. Think and act fast, because you will have only 4 minutes to make the highest score possible. If you don’t know the rules of 21, you should know that each card has the value written on it, the J, Q and K have the value of 10, and the A can be both 1 or 11. It is a really fun and addictive game, so good luck!

We began with these 2 games, but we forgot to mention some of the famous card games. One of the most famous card games that is played on the computer is the Solitaire. It has become very famous because it was included in the games of Microsoft Windows, and many people found it there. A few years ago when the internet was not so popular among the home users, everyone used to play Solitaire when it was bored. You can still find this game on the operating system called Windows, but you can also play many more other Solitaire games on the internet. Another famous Solitaire game, that can be found both on the Windows games and on the internet is the Spider Solitaire. This games uses two decks of cards. 54 of them are spread into 10 piles, and the first card on each pile is faced up. Your goal will be to build 8 sequences down in suit and then move them to 8 foundations. Each sequence has to go from K to A. You can build tableau piles down, no matter the suit and they have to end with an A. You can move a card at a time and also group of cards in numeric order and the same suit. All the empty tableau piles have to be filled before the deal, and there are no redeals available.

Other famous card games that can be played both with real cards but also on the internet, are the casino games. The most popular are Blackjack and Poker. There are so many types of Poker games, with different characters or graphics. A famous Poker game that includes the Texas Hold’em game is called the Governor of Poker. We already discussed this game in details in previous articles, so check them out to find more about this cool game. The blackjack game is pretty simple, and doesn’t have many variations like the Poker, but you will find many blackjack games, each with a different graphic and characters. So we wish you all the good luck!

Crazy Eights is a nice game, and it will take me a while to explain it, but it is pretty cool as a two players game. You have to start by shuffling the deck, and if you have two players, each will get seven cards. The remaining cards will face down, and the top card will be placed to the side for discarding the pile.

The player who didn't deal the cards will play a legal card. A legal card is explained by the following rules: if the card on the pile is not an 8, you have play a card to match the suit of the card which was played previously, an 8 can be placed on any card and the one who plays it must nominate the suit for the next player, and if an 8 will be on the top of the pile, you will have to play exactly the suit which was nominated by the one who played the 8. The player who gets rid of all the cards wins, and the other receive points for every card they still have in their hand at the end of the gamte. Eights mean 50 points, a picture card values 10 points and others give you only one point.

Beggar-Your-Neighbor is more for children, but it can be fun for adults too. It can be played alone too, but it is nice to play it with a friend. The cards must be divided between you and the other player, and then each one draws a card, overlapping the card drew before. This continues until a card like Ace, King, Jack or Queen is drawn, and the other player, the one who did not play this high card, must stack lower cards on the top of the high one (four cards if the drawn card is an Ace, three for a King, two for a Queen and only one for a Jack). The one who drew the high card in the beginning will get the pile, and the way to stop this is to draw a high card too. The one who has no cards left at the end of the game will loose.

War is a pretty easy game, and you will need a 52 card deck to play it. You have to shuffle the cards and then lay the face down, and then each player draws one card. The one who has a higher card takes the other's card and places it at the bottom of his/her deck of cards. The process continues until one of the players has all the cards, and he is the winner.

Double Solitaire might sound familiar to you, and it is the double version of the well known Solitaire game. You will need, of course two decks of cards, one for each of the players, and they will shuffle and deal the cards, like in a normal game. The difference is that the Aces are shared. If the first player puts up an Ace, the second player can put its two. This makes the game impossible to play all the cards, and it usually ends when the players are stuck and they cannot make any other moves. The player who puts up the most cards will win.

A very nice game to play in airports, cafes, or fast food joints is called Idiot. For this game you will need a deck of cards, and this is the meaning of the cards: Jockers-wild, Aces-high, Threes-low, Two cards kill the pile, Tens means that the game must be restarted. If a seven is played, it means that the next player must play a card lower than seven. The dealer must place three cards facing down and they will not be turned over, and one card face up on each of those three cards. These cards will remain there most of the time, until the end of the game. The dealer will also play three cards to each player and the deck in the middle of the players. The players must make sure that they have more than three cards in their hand, and if they don't have them, they must draw as many cards as are played to reach that number or cards.

The game continues with each player placing the number of higher cards of what they have in the hand, and with the refill up to three, while a deck remains on the table. If a four is played, the next player can play as many fours or higher he has in the hand. If a King is played, only an Ace will beat it, and if the next player doesn't have it, he must take the whole pile of played cards. Two, sevens and tens can be played at anytime. The ten will remove all the used cards from play, and this is why it is called killing the pile. If a two is played, the count is started over.

An Ace will be beaten only by an Ace, and if the seven is played anything less than seven can be played too, or something from the special cards. Nothing more than seven can be played over a seven. When the cards are out, you have to take the supplement cards, and these are those three cards from the beginning, facing down. You will play with these cards until you finish them, and if they beat, it's good for you, but you have to repeat the process till the end of game. The first one without cards will be the Idiot!

Fantasy Card Games

If you like card games, and want to try something special, you can play some fantasy card games. These games can be found online, on the Internet, and I have selected three nice fantasy games which I liked very much, and I think you will also find interesting.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Elements is a cool fantasy card game, in which the player is an elemental ( a spirit composed of an element, which are the fundamental blocks of nature). Each elemental has his arsenal of skills which can be used in a duel with another elemental. The skills have corresponding cards, and the player has the possibility of choosing which card to pick in a duel, and how many cards to use in the fight, and also to collect them in a card deck.

The players receive 100 health points in the beginning, and the duel is over when one of the elementals has reached 0 HP ( health points ), or ran out of cards. In the game, there are three types of cards, and these are: creature cards( this kind will summon a creature which will fight for the player, and the creatures have certain amount of attack power, health and special skills), spell cards (they have an immediate outcome, and they are discarded after the effect took place) and permanent cards( permanents are artifacts, equipment or anything that remains in play for an indefinite amount of time).

In Spectromancer, the player participates in a duel against another player, a magical duel, in which summoning creatures and casting spells can be used. Each player can use five magical elements during a duel (Fire, Water, Air, Earth and the fifth related to the magic type). In the game, there are six mage types: Clerics, Mechanicians, Necromancers, Chaosmasters, Dominators and Illusionists.(each of them uses something in the duels: holy power, mechanics, death, chaos, control and illusions). The player can play against another player, online, or against the computer.

Astral Masters combines the best features of the game called Astral Tournament and collection card games. This game is between two players and each of them can use various spells and fantastic creatures. It can be played against the computer and against other people This game is easy to play, and it doesn't require any other skills acquired in other games. The players carry each a deck of cards and in the beginning of the duel they get seven cards out of it. While playing, one more card can be taken in the beggining of each turn. The player receives cards as an effect of the spells and also some creatures' abilities. The maximum number of cards a player can have in his hand is 8. The cards can be two types: spells and creatures, and it is quite easy: spells cause an impact on the game situation, and the creatures fight on player's side. Cards have a cost number and the player must spend X Mana points, if the cost is X. When one card is used for a creature or for spells, the card disappears form players hand. The players can also sacrifice cards, and in this case the card disappears and the Mana and Astral Power grow with 1 unit.
