Overview
A special board, some pegs and 52 cards are mandatory for playing it. Jokers are not used. Every player needs, to keep the score, two pegs. You can find the board game at various stores, but if you do not have one, you are free to keep the scores with a pen and a paper as well. The goal is to achieve exactly 121 points. The first player to do so will automatically end the game, no matter if any deal is in process at that time.

Playing Cribbage
You can simply choose one person to play the dealer in the beginning or everyone will pull out a card and the one with the highest value will get this task. Then the dealer will give six cards to every player. You need to see your cards and decide to keep only four of them. The rest will be discarded into the crib – a pile put aside. The dealer also has to cut the deck, choosing in this way the top card. All the players will use that card in the end, as the fifth one, for gathering extra points. And they basically have to lay down one card at a time, alternating these actions and gathering points, until one of them gets into the situation of exceeding 31. In that specific moment the player will have to shout “go” and will just have to wait for his opponents to get in the same situation.
Cards’ values and how to peg more
Every card has a specific value. If it happens for the top one to be a Jack, the dealer would be the one to receive two points. Aces give you one point, face cards ten points and the others worth exactly the numeric value they have inscribed. On the one hand, you increase your score through the cards you take out and on the other hand, you can get extra points depending on specific situations during the game. When reaching the fix score of 15 points add another two, as a bonus. If you lay down pairs or sequences, you also receive bonuses. For a second consecutive card with the same value you get two points, for the third one six points and for the forth one twelve points. The one who gets to place down the last card will receive an extra point and if it totals 31 points with that last card, he or she is entitled at two other points.

Hints
With so many details, you are probably confused. Practice will help you to understand them all, in time. Keep in mind that the highest hand that one player can have on a specific moment cannot exceed the value of 29 points. In addition, no one can gather 19 points at the end of one round. If you are looking to make things harder for your opponents, throw in the first round cards like two, three or four – in this way they will not be able to score more than 14 points. And stay away from the pairs with five.
