Fun Fireworks Games

On September 18, 2009, seller Robert Rosen released "Above & Beyond Air Combat", an excellent balanced action aircraft (and other ships) game for the iPod touch and iPhone running the second and third generation operating system for iPhone mobile platform. If you enjoy a full package action shooting game (not a first person shooter) then you might want to take a look at "Above & Beyond Air Combat".

You don't get the best graphics in the world, but this game still packs a full 3D game experience. You get the full package of fighters, from aircrafts to battleships. You have to use every skill you got, and every weapon on your aircraft and battleship to explore, conquer and take full control of the island. This game is somewhat customizable. Therefore, expect the unexpected. In order to defeat and conquer you will have to improve your management skills and carefully improve your armada with all sorts of weapons or shield. However, take in notice that in order to do so, you will have to acquire credits. These credits are earned by going through all the three battle modes.

The three battle modes offered in "Above & Beyond Air Combat" are Gauntlet (this arcade mode features a time race which includes taking out obstacles, targets and acquiring all sort of bonuses), Survival mode (a second arcade mode which delivers a full action experience that will set you against a full enemy armada, good luck in surviving), and the Conquest mode (the main mode where your only purpose is to conquest the island, and not just to survive like in the Survival mode). Also after every island conquered you get a high score (calculated in strict relation with the overall necessary time to win the island, the ammo used in the process and the aiming accuracy).

Also the game will reward you with achievements. You can use all these rewards to compete on an online data base using the integrated Open Feint 2.1 feature, provided by "Above & Beyond Air Combat". Also, in the customizable department of this game, we can include over 15 different weapons (the whole artillery package, laser guns, ray guns, missiles, automatic machine guns, flak cannons, and many other more), better protection shield for your aircraft and the list could go one. Actually this game is interesting because of the customizable features, allowing you to play the game in various possible scenarios. "Above & Beyond Air Combat" provides for starters 60 islands.

All these islands are divided in different regions (world states, if you like). Therefore, you are not going to be bored with the same island. Not at all, in your conquest you will discover tropical islands, desert islands (weird and unrealistic), glacier islands and a more normal volcanic island. The game play does indeed divert half of its time to the islands exploration. If you don't mind this feature then "Above & Beyond Air Combat" will not feel half dull. The graphics are good, not bad and not excellent, but good. Enough to even make you addictive to the game play, especially because of the full 3D environment. Also the game experience is heading to great, because of the possibility to listen from your own playlists within the iPod touch, or iPod feature from your iPhone.

The controls are accurate and provide good feedback, not letting room for complains. Overall, "Above & Beyond Air Combat"  is an addictive game if you enjoy aircrafts, survival mode, and environment exploration. The current version of this game is 1.0 and it is offered on App Store for $2.99 (it can be considered a bargain, since its price tag is reduced with 25%).

Play Fun Fun Fun Games

On September 11, 2009, Artificial Life, Inc released "Pandorum", a very realistic action - horror game for the iPod touch and iPhone running the second and third operating system for the iPhone platform. Artificial Life, Inc is a developer and seller of software for mobile platforms. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1993, and a year later it was part of Delaware. The "Pandorum" is a great game, with an energetic action, high graphics, good storyline, excellent game play, and excellent sound to complete the visual experience. This game is a good marketing strategy for the, yet, unreleased movie, "Pandorum Movie" (in theaters from September 25). The game offers a full 360 degree vision. The story begins when the character you are playing awakes. You are on the Elysium (the Titanic equivalent for spaceships in terms of dimension).
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The spaceship is empty, and your character has no idea what he is doing on the Elysium. You will team up with Corporal Bower, scientist Nadia and Lieutenant Payton to explore the ship in order to find an explanation. However, pretty soon you will understand that the spaceship is full of monsters that will try to stop you from moving around the spaceship. Basically the story line will offer a good time since it is inspired from a real movie. The graphics are good. You get 3D graphics with first person shooter game and excellent audio that integrates good in every situation. Even if the game provides a 360 degrees panoramic view, the main purpose of exploring each and every corner of the spaceship is a little frustrating. However, this is still a shooting game.

Therefore watch out for monsters that might lurk behind your back. The story line also provides some cut scenes in order to understand what is Elysium doing in space, and why are you on board it. As any other shooting games, you get a full arsenal of weapons from you to choose. This is a good feature hence you get a lot of monsters, some stronger than others. The controls are quite good. On the left top you get three available controls, the menu button, the heal pack, and a compass. On the right you will find the health circle, the weapons from you can choose from (the display will only show the current weapon, but you get the forward and backward keys to navigate through all the weapons). The full 360 degrees panoramic view is controllable by a virtual click wheel in the left bottom corner. You can play the game however you like.

The control scheme is customizable. Therefore, you can choose how to resolve the mystery. Because you will need a break from the intense action, "Pandorum" also offers mini puzzles. The game is a continuum development. Whit each and every step you take (or each and every monster killed, or secret revealed) you will be capable to upgrade your weapons, and improve your combat skills. After every mission you will be awarded (depending of your level performances) with a medal. The "Pandorum" is an excellent game that offers high quality in every department. However, it is suggested you play this game on either iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 3rd generation with the iPhone OS 3.0. You can find "Pandorum" on App Store with version 1.0.0 for only $3.99 (price that is a bargain for what you get).

The first "Enigmo" was released in 2003, while the sequel, "Enigmo 2" was launched in 2006. Both of these games had market success. Therefore Pangea Software re-launched the "Enigmo 2" on iPhone platform. You can currently find "Enigmo 2" on App Store with the 1.0 version at a listing price of $3.99. If you are looking for a great looking puzzle game, then you are in luck. "Enigmo 2" will present you a new dimension of puzzle game play.

<>center>games-puzzle-packarcade1Basically your goal is to retrieve all the elements (either you have to retrieve the water droplets, or plasma beams, and even laser beams) and place them into a specific container (on each new game or level the game will provide with a different container in form and difficulty). In order to place every element into its place you have to use all the puzzle pieces you are given by the game's artificial intelligence.

The best feature of this game (beside the game play) is the new 3D graphics. This is not a normal feature you would find in a puzzle game. But then again Pangea Software is also a developer of 3D first shooter games. Using its experience form the RPG games, Pangea Software intrigued the game fans with only a puzzle games. For an average player, the 50 levels offered by "Enigmo 2" should be enough for at least one week (one to two hours per day, maximum).

Also the game includes an excellent music soundtrack, which goes really well with each and every level. However, the controls might seem a little tricky at first. But the full understanding of how they work comes in time. If you love space geometry than you will enjoy this game even if you are not a puzzle gamer. Overall, "Enigmo 2" for the iPod touch and iPhone doesn't let you down. It will offer exactly what it says it will, excellent game play, intriguing controls ("enigmo" controls), and excellent 3D graphics, making your puzzle game experience priceless.
