Download Wrath Of The Lich King - Free!!!

Do you want to download Wrath of the Lich King and play it for free? I am sure you do, especially if you didn't manage to grab a copy yet, so Blizzard decided to give you a special Christmas present... a 10-day trial for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King!

Since there's not much else to say about Wrath of the Lich King, here's what the official page says about this free trial:

"If you or a friend haven't yet experienced the new content Wrath of the Lich King has to offer, including the chance to face off with the dread Lich King Arthas himself, you can sign up now to play a 10-day free trial version of this latest expansion to World of Warcraft.

During your 10-day free trial, you'll explore the frozen wastes of Northrend, wield the necromantic powers of the new death knight Hero class, take control of massive siege vehicles in the new open-world PvP zone of Wintergrasp, and much more.

To participate, you’ll need full versions of World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade, as well as a character of at least level 55 (to create a death knight) or level 68 (to explore Northrend). More information on the 10-day free trial is available in our FAQ. Your journey awaits!
"

Hmm...level 55/68, that's a tough one, but since most of you got World of Warcraft some time ago, I guess a level 55 character isn't too much to ask, don't you agree?

Age Of Conan For Xbox 360…When?!?

Age of Conan is a very interesting exception to some kind of rule in the gaming world I've managed to notice lately - most awesome games arrive first on some console, then they are ported on the PC. Sometimes, the PC version is not as great as the one for consoles, as it happened with GTA 4, but today we'll talk about Age of Conan, so let's leave GTA 4 aside, shall we? The topic is very straightforward - Age of Conan for Xbox 360, so let's see when is this coming... if everything works as expected, obviously.

As you probably know already, Age of Conan for PC started out as a very promising title, but a deadly mix of problems lead to massive migration from it to other titles, but this situation isn't stopping Funcom from working hard on the Xbox 360 version. After all, who says they can't hit the target with a console version? Well, that remains to be seen, of course, but now...<-125x125 Button - right->

...CEO Trond Arne Aas spoke about the team's devotion to the console version, although no date has been pushed forward just yet: "The Xbox 360 game will also contain most, if not all of the content and improvements that have been made to the PC version of the game. The work with improving and expanding Age of Conan continues with relentless force, and we look forward to introducing a number of great updates in the months ahead."

These being said, let's hope Age of Conan has enough strength to be reborn on the Xbox 360, and valuable lessons have been learned from the past.

New Warhammer Online Update Available

Ladies and gentlemen, a new Warhammer Online update is now available, and the list of fixes and improvements is HUGE! Patch 1.1a became available less than a day ago, and while the list of changes is pretty boring to check from head to end, I will try to give you the most interesting parts of that list below...

- Two New Careers: The Knight of the Blazing Sun and the Black Guard have joined their allies and are now available to play for everyone!
- Open RvR Influence System: Players who participate in this part of WAR will now have additional incentives for fighting for their realm. As part of this patch, we have also made quite a number of changes and fixes to oRvR places and NPCs as well.<-125x125 Button - right->
- Easy Public Quests: PQs are great, but sometimes it's hard to get enough people together to complete them, especially in the lower tiers. So, we are redesigning one PQ per chapter so that it can be completed by 1-3 people.
- Player Statue System: Nothing says "you've made it" more than having a statue with your name on it in the capital city of your realm.
- New Content: Whether it is new lairs, new quests and changes to items, this patch is full of lots of fun new content additions to the game.
- User Interface: Lots and lots of fixes, changes and new additions to our user interface and API functionality, new additions to the chat system and graphic options incorporating community requested features a channel flashing on activity, the ability to turn the chat bubbles on/off, a gamma slider and so much more.

If you're really a professional mint rubber and can't find anything better to do, the details about this latest Warhammer Online update can be found here. Go grab a six-pack and a pizza, because you'll have plenty of time to enjoy them while reading...

Lord of the Rings Online - Mines of Moria Expansion Available!

Lord of the Rings Online is getting closer and closer to the amazing atmosphere of the Lord of the Rings movies, the first expansion proving exactly this. Mines of Moria, because this is the name of the expansion pack I just mentioned, is now available across the U.S. and Europe, allowing you "to explore the ancient underground cities of the dwarves, battle epic characters in the depths, face off with the Watcher, be a part of the fateful release of Durin’s Bane and more! In addition to extending the challenge to new heights, Mines of Moria will introduce two new classes, ten additional levels, hundreds of new quests, and the highly anticipated Legendary Item system."

If you forgot about Lord of the Rings Online, here's what the press release says: "The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) has established itself as one of the world’s premium MMOs for successfully integrating story into a game that features innovative and entertaining advancement through an immersive and breathtaking world. Mines of Moria will raise the bar with the introduction of Legendary Items, a massive new system that will let players advance unique and powerful weapons and items that grow in might alongside their hero. These unique and powerful weapons will be by our players’ sides to aid in the challenging adventures that await them as we continue to journey through Middle-earth through the next several volumes of the game in years to come."

To be honest, I don't know anyone playing this game, although I happen to encounter new WoW players (too!) often, and each time I hear about Lord of the Rings, I remember the single player RTS with the same name, a game that left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth.

Anyway, let's see the feature highlights of the Mines of Moria expansion now, shall we?

Ø Forge Legendary Items! – The Mines of Moria introduces Turbine’s revolutionary new item advancement system to LOTRO. Players can now forge unique weapons and class-related equipment and evolve them to build a legacy the likes of Bilbo’s Sting and Gandalf’s Glamdring™. These legendary weapons grow in power along with the player through their adventures and are customized by advancing the item’s virtues, adding runic legacies and modifying its title.

Ø Speak Friend, and Enter – Moria, called Khazad-dûm by the dwarves, was their capital and the grandest of cities. This enormous underground world in north-western Middle-earth comprises an immense network of tunnels, chambers, mines and huge halls beneath the Misty Mountains and represent one of the largest and most dangerous online underground environments ever created. Starting today players can journey through hundreds of new adventures and battle goblin hordes and the Nameless of the Deep in the ancient city underground which has served as the foundation for the modern-day dungeon-crawling adventures.

Ø The Epic Story Continues! — The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria begins Volume II of The Lord of the Rings Online storyline. Players will experience six new books rich with new characters and content and face the fiery wrath of Durin’s Bane, battle the Watcher, bring aid to the Lady Galadriel and more.

Ø Increased Level Cap — Players can now advance their characters up to level 60, opening access to a wealth of new traits, virtues, skills and class quests. The crafting system also now offers a new Tier and gives players the ability to join crafting guilds to create even more powerful items.

Ø Discover Two New Classes — The Rune-keeper and the Warden, the first new classes to be introduced since the launch of the game, offer players the opportunity to create all-new characters and experience LOTRO in exciting new ways.

I guess that if you're a fan of the movies, the online game is also "a must," and this reminds me that, one fine day, I won't be able to keep avoiding this and enter the Mines of Moria to live the adventure myself, once again.

Silkroad Online - Cursed Soul Outfit Now Available!

Ever tried Silkroad Online? I will bo honest and confess I haven't, and I don't have any plans of doing it anytime soon, either. I enjoyed movies like Lord of the Rings a lot, but I simply can't digest fantasy-based MMORPGs well. I know, it may sound a bit strange, but that's me. Anyway, let's see what's new in Silkroad Online now, shall we?

The short story goes like this: Joymax has announced a new avatar outfit available for Silkroad Online players. This outfit consists of a matching three-piece set of leather belts and colorful sashes. The Cursed Soul outfit "is sure to make characters of every class stand out among their peers." Obviously, beauty has its price, and this time, it's a terrible one - a nightly curse that turns players into skeletons when they venture out into the moonlight. Pretty cool, don't you think?

The Cursed Soul outfit is a limited edition item and will only be available for a short period of time. Get it while you can, and you can start seducing others during daytime, and haunt the realm as the night falls down...
