Fallout 3 Release Date

Back in September, when we talked about Fallout 3 Survival Edition, I thought things were settled, and the long-awaited post-apocalyptic RPG would arrive in time. Well, "in time" doesn't say anything about an accurate Fallout 3 release date, so now we're going to attack that subject - is Fallout 3 gold, or not?

According to Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines, Fallout 3 is not quite gold, although its Survival Edition is already sold out, as we were able to see back in mid-September. Here's what he said earlier this week to GameSpot: "At this stage we are really right down to the very end of the process. I'm just trying to get discs done and sent off and certified and released to manufacturers. … So there's a mad scramble to get all those copies made and into stores."<-125x125 Button - right->

In the end, the Fallout 3 release date should remain October 28 for all three platforms - PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, but after so many delays, who can tell for sure? Well, at least we should expect a huge world to explore, since Hines said "We actually envisioned the game would be smaller when we first drew it up. But we're never careful about being slaves to anything we write down. … So we made the game bigger than it was because we felt we needed to flesh it out with more stuff, with more locations in between, to make it more dense."

All right, another 3 weeks of waiting can't be that bad. After all, we've been waiting for Duke Nukem Forever since 1997, and we still have hopes to play that game, one day...

Duke Nukem - Forever Beta…

When talking about games that I will always remember, Duke Nukem 3D has, and will always have a special place in my heart. Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior, another game made by 3D Realms using the same graphics engine, ate a lot of my time during high school, and I don't even have to mention those network slaughter sessions I've been through...

...and now, every time I hear about Duke Nukem Forever beta - at least beta - I jump up and check the news sources, digging for all I can get. Unfortunately, all I usually got in the last decade was one rumor after another, and nothing more. After all, Duke Nukem Forever is the most delayed videogame in history, since its development started back in 1997, and promotional information has been released in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2007, and even in June 2008. <-180x150 Small Rectangle - right->Now, we have some new screenshots - in fact, only two of them, but nothing clear regarding the release date, as usual.

I think changing the name of the game into Duke Nukem Forever Beta, or even Duke Nukem Vaporware won't hurt too much. In fact, this could make this even more interesting. After all, Duke Nukem Forever got so many "vaporware awards," that could be identified by a lot of people with the "vaporware genre" itself, if I can put it this way.

The new screenshots that became available recently in the Xbox Live Arcade don't show much, just some 3D chicks, and an octabrain reminding me of some BlackSite: Area 51 monster. Now, the game is using a heavily modified Unreal Engine, while a decade ago, it all started with the Quake II graphics engine. Oh, my, how many can change in a decade...

...but I only hope one thing - to see Duke Nukem Forever beta turning into just "Duke Nukem Forever," and to have the DVD in my hands. As soon as possible, please! I am sure there are gamers who died waiting for this to come out, and I don't want to go after them...

Call Of Duty 6 Confirmed!

Without any doubt, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a great game. If you have a computer capable of running it properly, this game is "a must," no matter if you're a fan of the FPS genre or not. Anyway, if your computer is very old, you can try running one of the older games in the series, like the first one, a game I'll always remember. After all, people are still looking for Call of Duty cheats, so it's not THAT OLD, don't you think? All right, let's move to Call of Duty 6, now.

While Call of Duty 5 still needs to be released, and it doesn't have any release date announced yet, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick confirmed that what's in store after Call of Duty: World at War will arrive in retail stores during 2009. Well, I guess that's going to be the end of my current computer...or not, if they optimize the game as well as they did with Call of Duty 4!<-125x125 Button - right->

Currently, Treyarch are taking the Call of Duty series back to WWII with the forthcoming World at War I mentioned above. They are those who previously worked on the third game of the franchise, so we should also have high expectations from Call of Dutty 5. Hey, what am I saying here? Call of Duty has always been a game that I expected much from, and I never got disappointed.

Drawing the line, it seems we'll have Call of Duty 5 in a few months, and Call of Duty 6 is thought to be placed in a futuristic landscape, but that's not something confirmed just yet. If you ask me, I would enjoy to be a crossbowman in the Medieval times, but that would surely take us way off the concept of the "Call of Duty" franchise...or not?

Wrath Of The Lich King Release Date

As you probably know already, if you subscribed to our news by email, or you're simply checking back from time to time, I managed to stay away from World of Warcraft until now, at least as a gamer. Anyway, with each new update, I get drawn more and more to this game, especially since I got to know a lot about it, only from my beer chats with friends, not to mention online sources, and the upcoming expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, looks really interesting, despite the fact it's going to be released on a 13th...

Yes, you heard that right - the Wrath of the Lich King release date is no longer something to guess, because it has been officially announced that the game "will be in stores on November 13 in North America, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia, and on November 14 in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. The expansion will be available in Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on November 18, and the launch timing for China will be announced at a later date."

The best part of it all is that, apart from the standard package, a special one will also be available, as the official site says - "Wrath of the Lich King will be available in both a standard edition and a special Collector's Edition (in select areas). <-250x250 Square - right->The Collector's Edition will contain an art book, behind-the-scenes DVD, exclusive in-game pet, and more."

I hope you weren't hoping to get out of this only with the Wrath of the Lich King release date, so here you have the features:

* Master the necromantic powers of the Death Knight - World of Warcraft's first Hero class.
* Quest to level 80, gaining potent new abilities and talents along the way.
* Learn the craft of spell augmentation with the new Inscription profession.
* Brave the harsh new continent of Northrend, the icy domain of the Lich King.
* Engage in epic siege warfare, deploying mighty siege engines to lay waste to destructible buildings in your path.
* Transform your hero's look with new character-customization options, including new hairstyles and dances.
* Explore perilous new dungeons filled with some of the deadliest creatures -- and greatest treasures -- on Azeroth.
* And much, much more...

Dances? I love dances! If you're not into WoW yet, just check the Archlord Emotes article, that could be a good game for you to start with into the MMORPG world, especially since it's free to download and play. Now, one more thing - if you want to check the details about the Collector's Edition, but especially if you want to pre-order it, go ahead and click the link above to visit the official page, it's going to worth your time, believe me!
