Need for Speed: ProStreet Has Arrived!

Almost 14 years have passed since The Need for Speed hit the road for the first time, changing the world of racing computer games and opening a path followed by many other games. Unfortunately, since Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, Electronic Arts moved away from the racing simulation and created arcade games that were successfull on the market, but didn't match the tastes of many old fans.

Today, it may be a new beginning for the NFS series, or even the beginning of the end. Taking a turn, Electronic Arts' Need for Speed: ProStreet offers realistic car handling, damage, and graphics more advanced than before, as expected. The best part is that, after being announced on the 31st of May, we finally have the chance to grab it from the stores, because Need for Speed: ProStreet was officially released today, after a 2 weeks delay.

NFS is back

The good part is that, from now on, you won't bump into walls at 200mph and get out of it slightly scratched and with a car that behaves exactly the same, and even better, we'll finally be ble to race in daylight. Of course that fans of the latest releases of the game aren't going to be happy, probably, but that's life, after all - some win, some lose.

For more details, you can check the official site, but I am sure that old NFS fans will be thrilled to drive in Drag, Drift, Grip, and the all-new Speed Challenge races with new cars, top-notch graphics and, hopefully, the old feeling that only Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed was able to offer. Be sure to check back this site, because we're preparing a large article about the entire NFS series, including the first and the last...

Codemasters announces Race Driver One

Race Driver One Game
The next generation in racing games is coming in 2008 from Codemasters Studios.

Race Driver One promises to revolutionize the world of racing games and we can’t help believe it since it’s the successor of a very successful series in the genre( the Toca car games and the Race Driver series).

The game will offer more events than any of the games in the series, combining official circuit-based championships with road races and urban street competitions. It will challenge players to become the best racer in the world and it will transport them to locations through Europe, USA, Japan and more.

“Combining our racing heritage with the NEON engine, Race Driver One will create a world that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of motorsport gaming, taking players from the most prestigious race circuits to road and streets events around the globe” says Gavin Raeburn, Executive Producer at Codemasters Studios.
