There are so many free online flash games on the internet, and they are so diversified that you will always have what to play. There are already thousands of them, and there are new games added each day so you will never get bored of them.

If you like sports than you can choose to play one of the many sports games (there is at least a game with every possible sport), if you like guns or fights you can choose to play a shooting or fighting game, if you like cars or other types of vehicles you can choose to play a racing game, if you want to stimulate your brain you can play a puzzle game, and the list goes on and on. There are even some games that are dedicated to kids and can learn them all sorts of useful things.

An example are the flash card math games which can learn the children all of the basic math operations – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These type of games are called “flash card” games because the numbers that you have to calculate appear on some cards that change after you gave the answer.
One game from this category is the “Black dog’s math flash cards” and is found here on this address: http://www.blackdog.net/games/math/flash/ . This game offers just three of the basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication) and also a version which combines all of these operations. For each of the operations you can choose the interval where the numbers will be from.
There are many combination beginning from 0 – 25, 0 -50, 0 – 100, and so on, all the way to 0 – 1000. So depending on the age and knowledge that your child has, you can choose the category that is best for him. As the game begins you will have an operation written on the yellow flash card, and you will have to give the correct answer. To type an answer use the numeric keys from your keyboard. In case you made a mistake when writing, use the backspace to erase and when you are ready press the enter key to give the answer. After hitting the enter key you will see if your answer was correct or incorrect.
There are just 60 seconds available so you will have to give as many correct answers as possible. When making simple operations you can do them in your mind, but once you get to advanced ones (such as multiplication with numbers from 0 to 1000) you will have to make the calculations on a piece of paper. Be correct with yourself and don’t cheat using a calculator. After the time is up you can press the “refresh” button from your browser to try again, or hit the “back” key to choose a new category of numbers.
Another game of this kind that we found is simply called “Flash cards math edition” and it is found on this site: http://search.teach-nology.com/arcade/math/ . This game has all of the operations – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, but here you can’t choose the interval where the numbers will be from. But you can choose the difficulty level (easy or hard), and the number of cards you wish to have (from 1 to 99). This game doesn’t have a time limit, but it can be quite annoying because you can play it just from the keyboard.

You can write the answer with the numeric keys, press the “enter” to send it, but then you will have to press on the “next” button with the mouse to move on to the next operation. It seems like there is a problem with this game, because no matter how many questions you choose to have, there will be infinite questions. For example if you choose 3, after each answer it will say that there are “only 3 problems remaining”. So play it for as long as you want and then just go to the home page, or simply close it. Good luck kids!
