The sequel of the highly acclaimed Operation Flashpoint promises to redefine the FPS genre when it comes out in 2008.

Operation Flashpoint 2 has been in production at Codemasters Studios for two years now and the largest development team ever assembled is working on it, so…we might be in for something really amazing, let's hope so.

The game is said to offer different military classes to make the warfare experience even more believable and a multiplayer component which will create battles at an impressive scale.

The game will use a new FPS variant of Neon engine technology, the company’s proprietary middleware.

More details about Operation Flashpoint 2 will be available this summer.

Codemasters announced that a key role in its attempt to bring a new thrilling gaming experience to the market in 2008 will be played by Rise of the Argonauts, an action- RPG game of epic proportions.

In this upcoming game players will take part in a gladiatorial adventure set in a mythological ancient Greece. The players will lead a team of well known heroes of Greek mythology- including Hercules, Jason or Atalanta- through numerous exciting quest and brutal battles in a world ruled by the gods.

The game is being developed by Liquid Entertainment for all leading console platforms and for the PC.

The next generation in racing games is coming in 2008 from Codemasters Studios.

Race Driver One promises to revolutionize the world of racing games and we can’t help believe it since it’s the successor of a very successful series in the genre( the Toca car games and the Race Driver series).

The game will offer more events than any of the games in the series, combining official circuit-based championships with road races and urban street competitions. It will challenge players to become the best racer in the world and it will transport them to locations through Europe, USA, Japan and more.

Atari announced they’re working on the first expansion pack for the award-winning RPG, Neverwinter Nights 2, called Mask of the Betrayer.

In Mask of the Betrayer players return to the Forgotten Realms right after the events that took place in the original Neverwinter Nights. After the last battle against the King of Shadows, the hero wakes up alone and lost deep beneath the earth and is forced to embark on a journey to reveal his true destiny.

The game is set in Rasemen near the powerful nation of Thay and promises to present players with exciting campaign, new races, dozens of spells and features, new weapons, armor and crafting options, base classes and prestige classes, new companions and enhanced modding tools.

Neverwinter Nights 2 : Mask of the Betrayer is scheduled to be released in Fall 2007.
