Fast Leveling – World of Warcraft

As every other massive multiplayer online role playing game, World of Warcraft requires you to start with a level 1 character and you get to level him up by killing monsters and doing quests. We realize that the process of leveling up to the maximum level, so you can play with your friends, can be a boring task, and so does Blizzard. In fact Blizzard has recently lowered the experience required to gain a level up until level 70, and increased the experience gain from completing quests at the same time. With these changes fast leveling in world of warcraft is now a reality.

Fast leveling in world of warcraft involves doing doing mainly quests nowadays. In the past when questing wasn't as rewarding as it is now you had a the choice of either grinding or questing. Grinding is a term used for players that prefer to kill monsters in an area over and over again, with the aim of quickly gaining experience. This task is more monotonous than questing, because it forces you to repeat the same things hundreds of times. That being said at the moment the fastest way to level up in World of Warcraft is doing quests.

There are other options for fast leveling in world of warcraft, in the form of leveling up guides. While at the beginning there weren't many available guides available, lately the amount of guides has multiplied by a lot. Among the best guides available today you can get: "Joana's 1-80 Leveling Guide", "Brian's 1-80 Leveling Guide", "Zygor 1-80 Alliance and Horde Guide" and many more.
Joana's 1-80 Leveling Guide

Joana's WotLK guide is a part of the 1-70 leveling guide, but with this new guide Joana has made a mapmod, this mod is an addon which you can installed into your game to point out all of the quests and npc coordinates on your world map. You Never need to press alt tab every time you need to find out where you need to go next. All you would need to do is open your game map and select the quest you would like to complete and follow the dots on your game map. The mapmod shouldn't be to hard to install, but if you find that you're having problems then you can go to the FAQ with detailed instructions that Joana has made.

New Ubisoft Records

Ubisoft is doin' well, and I think they deserve it. Nevertheless, performance of some recent games fell below expectations, as they are honest to admit. Well, at least they don't come with ridiculous claims like EA does sometimes, when releasing some junk just for the money. Anyway, let's keep it straight and talk about these brand new Ubisoft records, shall we?

Ubisoft Games

In Q3, Ubisoft recorded an impressive amount of sales, for a total of EUR 508 million, going way above the 405 million recorded for the same period of last year, while the sales recorded in the first nine months of the fiscal year, totalled EUR 852 million, from a previous EUR 711 million, the previous year.

While the 2.2 million sell-in of Prince of Persia, and Tom Clancy's EndWar were below expectations, Shaun White Snowboarding, managed to sell 2.3 million units, becoming the number two sports game in the US - according to Ubisoft.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, said "The Christmas period proved to be even more competitive than we expected. Against this backdrop, our sales figures demonstrate the strength of Ubisoft's business model which is based on competitive development costs, a varied range of owned brands, constant innovation and a great capacity for responsiveness."

OK, that's mumbo-jumbo, most of it, but I must confess that, as a gamer, I always enjoyed Ubisoft's commitment to at least try and not to disappoint when releasing games from notorious series, although sometimes they managed to damage the reputation of some titles simply by pushing them into the market a few months too early. Anyway, I would rather like to see a bugged Silent Hunter that's what I expected in terms of gameplay, instead of a Need for Speed title developed for 5 year olds...

11.5 Million World Of Warcraft Subscribers!

I can't say I love World of Warcraft, but I don't hate it, either. Despite its reputation, World of Warcraft is one of those notorious games that simply didn't manage to make me an addict, and so I stopped playing after a few hours of enjoying the free trial. Anyway, this is not about my addiction to one or another computer game, since World of Warcraft just managed to break its own record, reaching a new milestone...

...and the barrier just left behind is the 11.5 million subscribers mark! Now, that's what I can call impressive! After all, with more and more people losing their jobs here and there, we have more gamers with time left for WoW..or not, but let's see what Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard has to say about this new milestone:

"We're pleased to welcome the new and returning players who have helped World of Warcraft reach these new milestones, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and support that the game's global community has continued to show. We look forward to providing all of them with an excellent entertainment experience for a long time to come."

Regarding the performance on the market of the game, Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop, said "Not only is Wrath of the Lich King still doing well, the base World of Warcraft game and the World of Warcraft Battle Chest [in the US] are performing better than last year. That type of traction is very impressive for a game that is going into its fifth holiday season and speaks to the enthusiastic player base Blizzard Entertainment products have."

All the above won't make me try WoW once again, but I guess it's not exaggerated to call it "the greatest MMORPG of all times," don't you agree? ;)
