It is a worldwide sport, and it seems that its popularity only continues to increase. The World Series of poker which is the main competition for Poker attracts thousands of players and a large number of viewers each year.

There are many variations to the games of poker. One of the most popular games is the 5 card draw. This is the game that you most likely played when you were young, as this was the most popular poker game until the Texas Hold’em. The game is very simple: you receive five cards and you have to keep the cards that you want and change the ones that you do not like. You can not change more than three cards. The one with the best hand card combination wins.

Another popular poker card game is Texas Hold’em. The only aspect of this game which is similar to the one of the 5 card draw is the strength of the hands. The game starts with each player receiving two cards which only he/she can see. After a round of betting three more cards are placed on the table but everyone can see these ones. In the end there will be 5 community cards down and the players must combine their cards with the ones from the table.

Another popular game is blackjack, and one of the reasons for this is because the player has very high chances of winning. He has to make 21 points or a sum similar to that one but without exceeding it, and in the same time to have a bigger sum than the one of the dealer.
