The space craft will fly really fast, so it can be pretty difficult to control, especially in curves. But you will get used with it. You have to use just the arrow keys to control the craft. Whenever you see a white spot on the road, pass over it, and your vehicle will go even faster, and this will help you to beat the time. Even though the craft is flying really fast, whenever you will hit an obstacle or another craft it will stop immediately. And this can be really annoying, and will make you lose a lot of time.
