Free Online Sega Games

Sega is a big multinational Japanese company that is specialized in the production of video games and video games consoles. The company was founded back in 1952, and it has the headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. But since it is a multinational company, it has many other offices in countries all over the world. In 2009 it had 3.127 employees from many countries, and a revenue of 1.64 billion dollars.



It had known a continue development, especially in the 90’s when it was among the best producers of game consoles in the world. The 90’s was also the period when the console games were really popular all over the world, and they stayed like that for many years, until the computer games took over.



Sega came with some very popular console games, such as: Sonic the Hedgehog series, Total War series, Virtua Fighter series, Panzer Dragoon series and many more others. One of the most famous games made by Sega was “Sonic the Hedgehog”. This game features the character of a blue and very fast hedgehog called Sonic, and he was the mascot of the company for many years.

In this game you must use the left and right arrow keys to move Sonic, and the space bar to jump. You can also make a spindash, by holding the down arrow key, then pressing the space, and the releasing the down arrow key. This game also features a password save.

To get or enter a password, go to “password” in the main menu.  You can play with Sonic the hedgehog, or you can play with one of its friends: Tails (the little fox), Knuckles (the red echidna) or Cream (the cute rabbit). Each of the characters can make a spin-dash, but also each one will have a special power. For example Sonic and Knuckles will run really fast and spin while Tails and Cream will be able to fly. You can activate their special power by pressing the space key.



The goal of the game is quite simple…you will have to get to the other end of the level, and of course avoid and destroy the enemies that will get in your way, and collect the golden rings and other useful items. It will be really fun to make a spin-dash, and your character will rotate and run really fast, destroying everything in his way.
