Free Online Star Wars Games

Everyone has probably heard of Star Wars. There were made 7 Star Wars movies so far, which had a huge success all over the world. There were viewed by millions of people and generated an overall box office revenue of 4.3 billion dollars. This is making the Star Wars the third highest grossing film series in history, after James Bond and Harry Potter.

The first Star Wars movie was launched back in 1977 and was called : Star Wars – A new hope. The next one was released 3 years later and was called: Star Wars – The Empire Strikes back. And the third part of the first trilogy, was launched in 1983 with the name : Star Wars – Return of the Jedi. The next trilogy was launched in 1999, with the first part called Star Wars – The Phantom Menace. The next 2 movies were Star Wars Attack of the Clones in 2002, and Star Wars Revenge of the Sith in 2005.

And the last Star Wars movie was made in 2008, with the name Star Wars The Clone wars. The creator of all of these movies is the famous director, George Lucas. The movies received many awards and nominalizations over the years, especially for decorations, costume designs, film editing, music, sound and visual effects.

Since the success of these series was huge, there were many other things inspired by Star Wars, such as animated series, video games, T-shirts, toys, books, magazines and others. There are many famous video games inspired by the movies, and there are for both game consoles and computers. But for computers there aren’t just the regular and complex video games, that need to be installed, there are also a lot of free online Star Wars games.

And today we are going to discuss about one of them, and we’ll choose the “Star Wars Rogue Sqauadron” flash game. This is a nice game where you can take part in some cool aerial missions . First select a mission by clicking on the box in the middle. The Episode IV (Battle of Yavin) is the easiest mission, and then is the Episode V (Battle of Hoth) and the toughest one is the Episode IV (Battle of Endor). Use your mouse to aim and click on the left mouse button to shoot. Some targets will require more than one hits to be destroyed. You will also get bonus score when reaching a checkpoint.

The space looks quite nice, but the graphic of the space ships and enemies is not so advanced. You will fly forward with your space ship, and there will be all sort of enemies getting in your way (such as canons, towers or space ships). And of course you will have to destroy each one, before they destroy you. At the end of the trench run you will see a horizontal bar with a moving circle. When the circle is in the middle of the bar (the green are), press the space bar to fire your proton torpedoes to destroy the Death Star. The game will be over when you lose all of your health (shield). So good luck!
