Fun Basketball PC Games

Basketball is an American sport in which two 5-man teams face each other. The main objective is to score points by throwing the ball through a basketball hoop while following a set of rules.It is one of the world's most popular sports.In 1946,The National Basketball Asociation(NBA) tournament.

Things have changed since 1946,and a huge number of devices appeared such as the computer. Although it wasn't originally created for gaming, the PC, or the personal computer is nowadays used for gaming by a high number of users, mostly 8 to 18 year-old persons, but adult gaming is not out of discussion.

Alongside other genres,sports games have rapidly reached success, as the main objective of the producers was to transform real life sports into a computer simulation or simulator.This means that you are now able to play football, soccer, rugby, tennis, boxing, golf and basketball directly on your PC,without having to leave your home. One of these games is NBA Live.

NBA Live is a basketball simulator, developed by EA Sports (Electronic Arts-Sports series) for the PC,and nowadays for the XBOX 360 and PS3,as well as older consoles such as PS2.The game allows you to play as your favorite team against another team from the same tournament (NBA).Users do so by controling all five players of he's team with the use of a keyboard,controller or joystick.Each version of the game has an extra 2 digit number that represents the las two digits of the year in which the game was produced.

For example,the 2006 version of the game is called NBA Live 06.As the game advanced in years,the complexity raised,so if the first versions were resumed to simple pass and shoot options,the recent versions have a huge variety of game modes and options,such as tactical plays or tricks.The last PC version of the game was NBA Live 2008,later versions being available only for consoles.

This is another basketball simulator,this time created by 2k sports,not EA.The name of the game versions are NBA 2kx,where x represents the year when the version was produces.For example,the 2009 version of the game is called NBA 2K9,and the 2010 version is called NBA 2K10.NBA Live 08 was the las NBA Live serie version for the PC,as the 2k serie took over,and altough the Live serie was more succesful at the time,NBA 2k serie rapidly increased its number of fans,becoming a world wide hit,and winning lots of awards,including the Sport Simulator Game of the year award,for the 2009 version of the game.

The 2k serie has improved graphics and itlooks better on a PC than Live looks on consoles,and for this it requires better computers for optimal run. In time,maybe there will be more basketball simulation games fighting for first place,but for the moment,NBA Live and NBA 2k are top of the list.
