Fun Birthday Party Games

Kids are not just adorable little persons, but also massive wreckers when it is about the cleanliness of your home. Birthday parties are the best pretext for them to unleash, mainly because the celebrated one thinks you cannot refuse anything to him.

In order to avoid tantrums and slammed doors on both sides, you should use your intelligence and keep them busy with some cool games. Tell your child you are going to throw a special party and that you are preparing some exciting activities. Let everything to be a surprise and take the charge. Well, they are on a party, so it would be great way to start it with the mystery gift game. You will choose something that you expect for the contestants to love and wrap it in a lot of layers – between 10 and 20, but no more than 20 because chances are they will get bored. The present will be given from hand to hand. They should not know how many layers are to be taken apart and neither which will be the prize. On every single level you can squeeze a small note with a message that should be accepted by the one who discovers it. Various funny actions, some challenges or even some minor prizes can be given while keeping the mystery of what is inside the box. Obviously, the one who gets to unveil the last layer will get to keep the content.

Egg race
This game is definitely for outdoor parties, because you would not want to have eggs crashed all over your living room. If you are somewhere outside, or even if you have a generous back yard, gather the invites, line them up and give each one a spoon with an egg on it. Once the race started, the first contestant to pass the finish line with the egg in a good shape will be the winner. The spoon can be kept with the hand or with the mouth. If you want to make things easier, you could work with boiled eggs, because they are heavier and they do less mess. Raw eggs are harder to keep in balance on the spoon and chances are for many of them to splash the ground.

Limbo
Limbo is about how low you can lean, eventually while dancing. Is a really popular party game, for all the ages. All you need to do is to install a bar that can be easily lowered or raised. Or you can ask two invites to hold it straight. Play an entertaining music and ask everyone to walk under the bar. They should walk forward, lean backward and dance while slipping under the bar. This activity will sure prove that looks can be deceiving, since is not that easy as it seems.

Decorating the cake
Decorating the cake might turn a little messy, but all the participants will be excited, mainly if they are children. So you might want to take them outside, divide them into teams – as many teams as baked cakes you have and give each team a table, a cake and ingredients to decorate. Candies of all sorts and colors, white frosting, food dye and anything else you consider they will need. More important, assign a specific theme to every group, so that they will have to follow a pattern and make it as interesting as possible. Moreover, establish the available time for finishing the task. You might be the judge or you can choose anyone else, but what is most important is that everyone will have fun and all the cakes will be eaten, in the end.
