The first commercialized mobile console games had only a few pre installed games. Those consoles included a monochrome display and several plastic buttons, which in time were providing less and less feedback. You can currently find this application on the App Store under the Games category with the current version, 1.1, available for purchase and download for $0.99 price tag. "Block Drop" was developed for both iPod touch (all the generations) and iPhone (2007 model, 3G and 3GS) running the second and third generation of operating system for the iPhone mobile platform.

As you already understood this game is not part of the power consumption game category. "Block Drop" is an addictive puzzle game, which will keep you entertained for several hours at least. In terms of story line, there is not much to say about this game. However, the game play is quite straight forward, your "mission" is to successfully sink all the dropped blocks and finish on the checkered flag. The only rule is not to get into the water. Believe it or not, this game provides 999 different levels. Therefore, this game play makes it hard even for the biggest puzzle fans to finish the game before a week of continuous play.

In order to complete the game you will need to focus your entire attention and to throw in the game all your surviving skills and reflexes, achieved by now from other puzzle games. The graphics are quite nice, thanks to the 3D environment. You get nice rendition and small animation within "Block Drop". To complete the user experience, the developer added dynamically created music for each and every level played, while the controls are easy to use, and logic. No one who uses an iPod touch or an iPhone should have problems with the intuitive controls offered by "Block Drop".

Also, you get dynamically generated levels (since there are 999 of them this should have been obvious). In case you find the game hard, you can chose to use the show solution feature. You can even chose to play fast survival levels, for an extreme game experience. Beside the long hours of game play, use the high score list to check your last high score, and try to beat your last score every time you play. The latest version provides a smoother movement, and some issue fixed. Overall, "Drop Block" is a reinvented puzzle game, which needs no further presentation for puzzle game fans.
