The computer games are one of the best means of entertainment nowadays. They are great to play when you want to pass the time, having fun, and so on. For some, the computer games are a mean of making money, as there are more and more gaming leagues in the world, such as the Major League Gaming in the United States, the Korean e-Sports Players Association, and so on. This can give you a clue about how much has the industry evolved and progressed in the last period of time. There are various types of computer games and I am going to tell you a little bit about them.

First of all there are many small fun PC games such as Solitaire, or any other card games which can be played on most of the computers. These games do not require a very powerful computer from the performance point of view because they do not use too many resources. It is very likely that in most of the cases you can find online versions of these games without being obligated to download them. These games are great for passing on time, and they are intended for most of the people because they are not too difficult to learn, in fact the rules are the same as in the case of the live games, the only difference being the fact that you have to get used to playing them with the mouse.

The other type of computer fun PC games is represented by those which are not intended for the general public, because these games require certain skill in order to play. These are the games such as the First Person Shooters, and so on, but I will clarify this in a moment. These games can be divided into various categories. The First Person Shooter, which I mentioned earlier are those games in which you see the interface of the game through the eyes of the character and your main task is to survive by shooting other people. The most popular games in this category are Counter Strike, Halo, and Call of Duty.



Another great type of games is the Sports games. These games have evolved so much as they are able to offer almost a real-life experience. You can play all sorts of sports games: football, American football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and so on. The most popular games in this domain are FIFA, Madden, NBA2K, and NHL. The Real Time Strategy games are also great as they allow you to create armies which you can then use to conquer your foes. The most popular games: Starcraft, Warcraft, Red Alert. Another type is the Sandbox game which allows you to play in a really huge map, being required to do lots of missions. The main games in this category are Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead & Redemption.
