Gaming PC News

If we want to talk about Electronic Arts, there are plenty of things to say, but I think the outstanding issue of the last few years is the hunger for money, reflected in a severe quality drop, most of their games being released earlier than they should, just to push forward a successful franchise. If I say "Need for Speed," that should be enough. Fortunately, they didn't manage to buy Take-Two, so the GTA franchise is safe...for now. The funny part is that, just a few days ago, Electronic Arts made public its intention to enter the...gaming computers market!

If you're looking for a good gaming PC, then the best bet is to build it yourself. Anyway, if you have enough money to throw off the window, you can get an Alienware or a Voodoo, although there are plenty of other similar companies out there, but I gave you these two as examples because I love silent PCs, and their custom cooling systems are really worth the money, in most cases.

Just as a side note, the latest computer I built for myself is well cooled on air, slightly overclocked and works like a charm, but it's at least two times as noisy as the previous one(I don't have the time and mood to work on making the case sound proof and change the fans)...so building your own gaming PC could mean trial and error, or countless hours spent on the Internet reading reviews and checking user feedback, before taking a decision.

If you have problems deciding what's good for your gaming needs, you will soon be able to get one Crysis Warhead branded gaming PC from Electronic Arts, as the intention is to give gamers a computer able to run this game at any level of graphics details. The interesting part is that, according to Warhead's producer, Bernd Diemer, the new Crysis will look just as good on DirectX 9 as it will on DirectX 10. Hmm...sounds good "on paper," but I would like to see that becoming reality. If this proves to be true, we'll see another nail sealing Vista's coffin...

At last, I should mention that no additional details about these computers are known, so there's plenty of room for speculations. Obviously, they'll use Intel Core 2 Duo processors, but on the graphics side, everything is still shrouded in mist. Do you have any guess?
