Harvest Moon Drawing Contest

If you have problems remembering the time and place, that's OK - it happens to a lot of people, believe me! For me, the funniest part is to make others believe it's Saturday, when it's not, or something like that(I always feel like it's weekend in the middle of the week). Anyway, one thing is certain - we're in 2008, and a lot of game series are celebrating at least a decade since their first release, and today I will tell you a few words about Harvest Moon and Natsume's anniversary drawing contest.

I don't know about others, and I really don't care - I hate the countryside, and there are only a few exceptions to that. I won't get deeper into that, but even the idea of playing a farming game gives me chills down my spine. Better off dead, than on a field! Now, I coud stand playing Harvest Moon, since the action of the game is spinning around maintaining a farm over a period of time, tending the crops and livestock through the seasons, while befriending the nearby townsfolk and even getting married in some games in the series(thanks, but my wife wouldn't agree that, and the law wouldn't allow me to get a second wife, either).

It all started back in 1997, on the SNES platform, and in the meantime,
Harvest Moon also arrived on the Game Boy and GBA, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, PlayStation 2,Dreamcast,GameCube and Nintendo DS; with new titles for PSP, Nintendo DS, and Virtual Console for the Wii.

The story with the contest is very simple - "All drawings will be judged by the staff at Natsume, and the 20 best entries will be selected [to] receive a Harvest Moon 10th Anniversary prize package," and the package includes a 10th Anniversary DS Lite Kit, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility and Island of Happiness strategy guides, a 10th Anniversary plush Harvest Moon Cow and Moon Chicken, and "additional goodies!"

Unfortunately, my drawing skills are far from being enough to draw something and even show it to the world, so entering this competition is out of question for me, but if you're feeling talented & lucky, you can head over to Natsume.com and read more about this. Good luck!
