Doom 4 Confirmed!

Doom is one of those games that wrote history, and I won't say anything else about it. We all know that some time has passed since Doom 3 was unleashed on our computers, and I could bet that a lot of gamers think about a next version, and hope that Doom 4 will arrive in time to enjoy it properly(I know a lot of people that suddenly became too busy to have enough time to enjoy their favorite games, I am sure you know how's that). Well, here's the good news for everyone - Doom 4 is in the making!

Doom 3

While id Software works on Rage, a new franchise which blends vehicular combat with first-person action in a sci-fi world, work on Doom 4 is also done, and the company revealed this in a help-wanted ad.

Basically...this is it, guys and girls! No press release yet, but id Software's CEO Todd Hollenshead confirmed this, when contacted by IGN. He said the company just wanted to "leave it at the press announcement for now."

Doom 4...dream on, my friends. I mean, dream as long as you still can, because I have a feeling Doom 4 will give us some nightmares when it's going to arrive!

B-Boy PS2

Do you feel like dancing in the street, but outside is freezing cold, and you also have to wait for some friends to knock on your door? Well, that shouldn't be a problem, as long as your PlayStation 2 is in full working state. SouthPeak Games and B-Boy will take care of the rest...

B-Boy

Katie Morgan, Executive Vice President at SouthPeak Games, went as far as saying that "B-Boy is the only game that gives players the opportunity to become premiere breakers. The game's fantastic playability, dead-on authenticity and high production values give it a style all its own. While it remains true to its roots of the scene, it maintains a feel that gamers will love."Well, most of the time, producers say their games are great, original, and offer you thousands of hours of gameplay, but this time, I agree. Probably you won't get to play B-Boy for thousands of hours, but it surely looks great, and the concept is a pretty original one.

Obviously, all you have to do is prove your skills by challenging world's greatest breakdancers. With over 800 motion-captured moves, the game is really a unique experience, including Crazy Legs and the Rock Steady Crew, while featuring 22 authentic venues including Red Bull: King of the Ring, Freestyle Sessions, UK B-Boy Championships and IBE.

I know there's a lot to say about this game, but best thing to do is see it, and the best place to start is the B-Boy official site. Enjoy your breakdancing sessions with B-Boy!

ActiBlizz – Alone

These days, a company can't live without proper marketing. No matter how brilliant are your products, without proper promotion, they won't ever go into mainstream, reaching enough gamers to make you rich. Well, every rule must have its exceptions, and it seems Activision Blizzard tries to go against the stream, by taking a strange decision...

ActiBlizz

So...what did they do? It seems that ActiBlizz won't show up at the E4, because the company decided to cancel its membership in the Entertainment Software Association!

Regarding this matter, ESA spokesman Rich Taylor said "While the Entertainment Software Association remains the preeminent voice for U.S. computer and video game publishers, we can confirm that Activision and Vivendi Games opted to discontinue their membership. The ESA remains dedicated to advancing our industry's objectives such as protecting intellectual property, preserving First Amendment rights, and fostering a beneficial environment for the entire industry. Our high level of service and value to members and the larger industry remains unchanged."

Unfortunately, no official comments are available at this time, but I am sure that, in the long run, this move won't really affect ActiBlizz. After all, Starcraft 2 is on its way, and World of Warcraft still goes on at full speed...
