Ratatouille

Adapted from an animated movie released by Pixar, Ratatouille presents the story of a hero - a rat named Remy - who always tells his brother to avoid eating everything that he finds in the garbage and to start looking for something more flavorful and better. Meanwhile, the evil chef Skinner is conspiring to topple the deceased chef Auguste Gusteau's image and turn it into a brand for cheap and frozen kitchen products.

This intrigue is the same on the movie and there are also many other items that have in common both the game and the video production. The game is well suited to children, presents many challenges for them, and contains many mini-games that will surely captivate them. Both movie and game tell the story of Remy, a rat living in France who dreams to become a master chef - a dream that is not too well received by the members of the colony of rats, especially by his father. Unlike the other rats, Remy refuses to eat anything in its path or the trash, it looks for great flavors, unique, and at one point even has a crazy idea to prepare one meal with some ingredients and spices. So it will have a great chance when circumstances bring him to Paris at the door of a restaurant that was owned by a great chef and also a TV character named Gusteau, Remy’s favorite.

From here, the film launches into a very funny story, because Remy reaches to help a not very talented boy dealing with garbage, named Linguini and with him is managing to create a successful chef tandem. The game captures some key points from the film, and even includes a few sequences where you will control Linguini while he will cook, over several mini-games. Most of the rest of the game however focuses the attention on the rest of Remy's rat colony that will have to steal food from various locations in Paris. Each location is a vast world that can be explored, although most tasks are carried out fairly linear. You have to go over various boxes, platforms, ropes, to go on the edge of cabinets or other furniture, not only from that environment, to reach areas where there are certain foods, you will need to bring it back to other characters or to use it for other items in order to move to the next objectives. Occasionally these missions are divided into several mini-games, which include culinary experiences and sequences in which you will be pursued or slip. The passages in which you are pursued implies running from a human character that will try to catch you and in the slipping passages you will be in a pipe or in a gutter or other surface on which you have to slide and collect stars trying not to fall over the edge.

Everything in the game Ratatouille is done quite well, so that to function well and attract players. Depending on tastes, the game can be tried by any children or family member. It's the kind of game that will please everyone, be it a young fan of video production with the same name or a casual player who wants to play a very funny game and to get a little entertainment.
