Rockstar Games Grabbed Mad Doc Software
If I say "Rockstar Games," most people would think of Take-Two and their notorious Grand Theft Auto franchise. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, Rockstar Games is a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive, and they just acquired Mad Doc Software, one of the premier independent development studios in North America. The result? Rockstar New England, and a stronger position for the entire Take-Two Interactive, now under EA Games' scope.

"The team at Mad Doc Software is extremely talented. Bringing them within the Rockstar Games family will enhance our core technology and further support our commitment to creating progressive and innovative gaming experiences," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games.
Founded in 1999, Mac Doc Software focused on artificial intelligence and networking so far, and their latest collaboration with Rockstar was on the Xbox 360 version of the Bully: Scholarship Edition game.
Dr. Ian Lane Davis, Studio Head of the new Rockstar New England and Mad Doc founder, said "To be a part of Rockstar Games is an amazing opportunity for everyone here. We're eager to bring our expertise to bear in the character-driven, open-world stories that make Rockstar Games titles so uniquely compelling."
