Serious Sam 3 Confirmed
If you missed playing any of the first two Serious Sam games, then let me remind you why should you go ahead and give them a try right away... Anyway, before talking about Serious Sam 3, I think a little gaming history lesson is needed, so let's get this show started!

Serious Sam: The First Encounter, released in 2001, got a whole bunch of prizes, like PC Game Of The Year from GameSpot, IGN's Editor's Choice, or the Outstanding Achievement in Technology award from IGN Action Vault.
The second Serious Sam game isn't Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, since this one introduced some awesome weapons (chainsaw and flamethrower included, hell yeah!!!) and continued the action from The First Encounter, being pretty much the same game. Now, Serious Sam: Gold Edition is the best thing to buy for those looking to play the first game in the series, since the package includes The First Encounter, The Second Encounter, as well as the Dark Island expansion.
Back in 2005, Serious Sam II arrived, although it's considered by some to be the third game in the series. Its graphix engine came with support for a wide range of modern graphics treats, like pixel shaders, vertex shaders, HDR, bloom and Parallax mapping.
Now, Serious Sam 3 has been confirmed, and we know it's going to have a whole new graphics engine, and it seems a publishing deal could be signed pretty soon. Unfortunately, that's all - Serious Sam 3 has been officially confirmed, but there's not much official stuff here... no date of release, no system requirements, only the certainty that Serious Sam 3 is headed this way.
