Shattered Suns Approaches its Launching Date
18 new screens from Shattered Suns were published for your delight until October 5 when Clear Crown Studios will release the final version of the game.

The chain of superb Real-Time Strategy games like Age of Empires, Total War, Warcraft or Supreme Commander and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, is continued by Shattered Suns, with a Science Fiction theme, developed by Clear Crown Studios, company specialized in games for Windows.

What makes from playing this game a unique experience are the moving battlefield, player-designed units, economic challenges, the interactive campaign and the three-dimensional battles.

Once connected to the game’s action, you will be Max, a captain in the Statian space fleet who is refusing to quit confronting the powerful empire which conquers the last free sector in the Universe.
While you’ll fight against the occupation of your home sector, you’ll run into colorful characters that can help you survive and build a new fleet of guerrilla volunteers.

You will have the power of decision in your hands, and will be able to choose where to travel, which characters to speak with using an instant message-like interface, what to say to each character, and where to launch the next attack on imperial forces.

In this game you’ll have new possibilities, like executing interesting new strategies and tactics, such as ambushing the enemy from above or assaulting an enemy from every possible angle.

The battlefield is a moving one due to the planets and moons which change their position along their orbits, while space stations orbit them. This makes that assaults to be timed depending on planet’s alignment.

You as the player will be able to design space ships with customized weapons, shields, engines, and scanners, and can also decide how many miners and builders will be included in a crew. Next step is to build your own strategy.

I will refer now to the distributed economics mentioned earlier, which means that resources and credits are stored locally on each space station and can only be spent by each space station individually.
This results in the creation of a new set of economic and logistical challenges for the conquerors looking to expand.
As new stations lack enough wealth to defend themselves, wealthier stations can send supply lines of resources and miners to help the new upstart stations accumulate enough wealth to become independent.
We’ll keep you up to date with news about the game until its release.
