UT 3 Level Design Contest

Unreal Tournament 3, despite the fact it didn't manage to break any sales records, and it didn't even score very high in most reviews, is one of my favorite games. Don't ask me why - if you're one of those playing it, you know the answer, and if you didn't play it yet...here's a reason to start right now: a level design contest!

Today, 3D Buzz announced its "Old School Level Design Contest" for Unreal Tournament 3, a contest that's "unique in that ONLY those assets included with the retail version" can be used to build your levels. What does this mean?

Well, "This means that even if you’re completely new to the modding scene, you still have a chance to win some incredible prizes, including a chance to have your level reviewed by none other than Epic’s Design Director, Cliff Bleszinski!" Say whaaat? OK, but if you're not such a great Epic fan, what's in for you?

Grand Prize Winner:

- $1000 cash prize
- PlayStation 3 game console (or $500 cash)
- Autographed copy of Unreal Tournament 3 signed by the developers
- Video review of your level by the staff of 3D Buzz
- Video review of your level by Epic Design Director Cliff Bleszinski

First and Second Runners-Up:

I'll take those PS3s, thank you! Oh, I have to design a level, first. Even more, it seems there are more parts in this contest, and the first one is focused on creating a deathmatch type map. Sounds good to me. Are you in, or out?
