Nothing of quality is for free. That is almost correct. But who says that nothing free is fun, they are sadly mistaken. Computer games do not cost a fortune nowadays, but they still are an undesired expense at some point. And without turning to anything illegal, users have turned towards the biggest information resource there is: the internet.

So there are a lot of free games on the internet. Aside from the MMORPGs, there are other browser games that are free and fun. Most of them are made in Flash, but they actually have one big drawback: they don't quite have a very good story. MMORPGs don't enter this category. I'm talking about the vast majority of flash games out there.

One of the most addictive and infuriating so-called flash games is The Impossible Quiz. Don't get fooled by its name, it's not impossible. It's just really really annoying to finish. But it IS addictive. The questions asked make as much sense as a penguin in the desert, but there are actual logical responses to what seems like a series of illogical queries. I have never got around to finishing this particular quiz; I got stuck at some point and just gave up after a while. Nevertheless, it obsessed me for about one whole month and there's no shame in adding it to my list of most addictive flash games. Speaking of addictive, this next game is surely going in the same category. Double Wires was a great response to the Spider Man movies. Basically, it's just a stick-man who swings using the same principle as Spider Man. Actually, this game is a hybrid between The Helicopter Game and Spider Man, because it has the same means of transportation and Spidey, but similar level structure to The Helicopter Game's levels: you have to avoid falling down while swinging in different terrain types, one more different than the other.

Of course, no flash games list would be complete without mentioning IndestructoTank. As the name suggests, the player operates a tank, which happens to be indestructible. This tank is attacked mostly from above, but it can't shoot. Instead, it uses bombs launched by enemy aircraft vehicles as propulsion, so it can reach and destroy them. >In the next game, simply called Magic Pen, you are given a crayon and with the power of your imagination, you have to draw something that would help a static ball get through a certain flag. You can draw various objects using the pins and hinges, as your possibilities are nearly infinite. As you can see, you can have fun for free on your computer, you just have to know where to look for it. Don't forget not to push one of those banner ads for shooting ducks or somethings. There are cases when these could be dangerous.

Since the internet was first introduced to the general public, it has gained many uses, some more honorable than the others. Besides being a very valuable source of information, if you know how to filter the reliable sources from the less reliable ones, the internet has become filled with games.

I am not talking about software piracy here. Rather about free online games that are free to play and everyone has access to them. One of the most played types of online games are the MMORPG, which stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, in which you take a certain role in a fantasy world and try to gain as much experience and skill along the way.

Being multiplayer, they are also a lot of fun when playing with other players, giving you the possibility to interact with people from around the globe. To some extent, these games actually help people interact. Only to some extent, of course. One of the best browser games (which doesn't need the installation of a desktop client) is the new MMORPG phenomenon, Shakes and Fidget. I admit that this isn't one of the most soliciting games of this type I had the pleasure to play, but it is, nevertheless, really fun. It doesn't have a mind-blowingly original concept behind, but it delivers what it promises. You have to choose between different races and create your character. You can be a mage, scout or a warrior, each class having its own advantages. The warrior has great strength and constitution, but lacks intelligence. The scout has less strength, but greater dexterity, luck and intelligence compared to the warrior; a scout's base attribute is the dexterity. The mage is very intelligent and lucky, but is really weak and lacks dexterity. Overall, the races are kind of balanced and that's a nice feature. Just be careful when choosing your class, because you can't change it during the game. As far as changing your race goes, this is possible, but changing your race won't change just your appearance.

After creating your character, you're transported into a village, where the most important zone is by far the tavern. There is a very suggestive menu on the left with a list of places and actions. In the tavern, you will find characters giving you quests. The completion of the quests gives you experience, money, and sometimes items that help you improve your character. You can also visit different shops for items you might need and improve your characters skills by paying for a specified upgrade. Just be careful that skill upgrades become more expensive. That's about it. The game gets really intuitive from this point on and the actions are simple and repetitive. Yet, I'm still not bored with it. You should certainly give it a try if you're not playing it already.

In order to relax i used to play some computer games and among my favorite ones was Peggle from Pop Cap. This is a brilliant game, it relaxes you and it is not boring. You know that there are a lot of games which are fun when you play it five or six times but after this sessions of intense gaming you get bored and you look for something else.

Peggle has wonderful graphics which will surely catch your eye and this is not because of the colors which are used in this game but because of its characters. The main plot of the game is more than simple all you have to do is to open your eyes and with the help of a bouncy ball you will have to get some red balls which are mingled among others. Every level of this game has its own helper meaning that at each and every level you will have a new sidekick which has some sort of “super power” which helps you hit all the red balls and to win. These helpers can provide you some big balls of fire, or an extra ball, or you can be lucky enough to receive the lobster claws which help you to get your ball back on the track and hit the red balls that you want. The balls are arranged in different ways, when you reach a certain level you will see that they are arranged in different ways like some circles, or some faces and so on. Peggle is a fun game which will provide you all the relaxation that you need and this is because you can play it quietly without things that bug you and so on. There are games which make you scream because you can't pass a certain level or others.

There are a lot of versions of Peggle; you can try Peggle Nights and you won't regret it; it is very... let's say complicated at a certain point because you will have very intricate shapes and the red balls are in places where you can hardly get them. The red balls are not the only ones which are of a big importance; you have green balls which activate your sidekick when they are popped, you have the purple balls which help you gain points and lives and so on. So, if you are interested in this game you can look for it on the Internet or you can run to your nearest store and see if they have it there.
