Good Daddy 2 Review

Ever tried any game based on Father-Son theme? If not, Good Daddy 2 is the perfect option for you to ahead with.

It's a superbly design online Physics-Puzzle game where you, as a Daddy have to help your son passing several hurdles in between and letting him go to school . There is a special power given to Daddy, which when used correctly, will protect the child from getting trapped in danger zones (open chemical sewage, laser lights).

As a special power, Daddy can change his shape. Yes, you heard it right! He can be converted into "Square", "Triangular" and "Balloon" (with flying capability), which will help him in making way for his son and passing off the danger zones. Like any other child, in this game also, the child waits for his Daddy's command to walk and stop. Unless, he doesn't allow him to walk, his son will stand still at his place. It's a great idea to design games having a father and his son as main characters, but the kind of powers given to Daddy is way beyond imagination. Sometime the game itself appears as if, it is based on some futuristic theme where humans can change shape and the landscape is full of danger pitfalls, toxic fumes and live voltages.

Good Daddy 2 Puzzle Game

As far as controls are concerned, left and right arrows are used to move Daddy. When required, you can change Daddy's shape by pressing 1, 2 and 3 number buttons from the keyboard. The change in his shape is entirely based on the kind of hazards Daddy needs to block. Once it's blocked, use space-bar to allow son to walk or stop as per the requirement. In case if you get stuck somewhere, no need to panic. Simply by pressing R you can restart the game and can come up with another possible solution to make your son reach to the open door, without letting him fall in any of the hazards. It's advisable to collect stars during the gameplay. You can use your collected stars to skip a stage by visiting the pause menu.

You may find Good Daddy 2 puzzle game weird, but believe me, it's a superb concept, which has been executed in a superb banner. However, certain bumps are allowed in such puzzle games. While moving Daddy in square or triangular shape, you will find that the box or triangle does not fall in the same way every time. This may force you to restart a level, if Daddy does not land in a required manner.

Talking about the positive features of this game, you will be amazed by experiencing how quickly a level could get complicated if Daddy does not fall at the correct place. This is where your Physics skills will be tested. After completing certain levels, you will start realizing that almost every level has the same types of hazards available, which deviates your interest from the game.

So, if you love playing physics puzzle game and are ready to accept all kinds of challenges, Good Daddy 2 should be at the top position in your preferred puzzle game list.

Gone Home Review

Gone Home is a story-driven game where you will be given a house to explore. As you commence exploring, the house slowly starts revealing the story of the people live there.

The story described here is quite honest, private and beautiful. The way, in which you participate in this story-driven game and start investigating their house, you will be able to put the pieces of the story together and will get to know about the Greenbriar family.

Gone Home

In the Gone Home, you will be playing the role of Kaitlin Greenbriar. After being away from your home for around one year, you have come back from Europe, to your family's new home. On the day of arrival, you had expected your family members to be there, but you find your house empty. Before you could come out of your missing family member's concern, you see a scrawled note, written by your 17-old sister along with some emotional messages, recorded on the phone. This suspense-filled environment will make you feel concerned about the well-being of your sister and other family members.

The Gone Home story mainly focuses on Sam and with every single item you discover, you will hear the narration that she has written to Kaitlin. Such environment will make you understand the kind of situation Sam had gone through. Gone Home is considered to be the best game that narrates human and grounded stories. Throughout the game, as Sam describes her feelings, you will repeatedly find yourself nodding. The way in which Sam reveals herself through her journal entries and her excellent voice quality is amazing. By the time you had solved the mystery of her absence, the place and Sam, both will leave a lasting on you.

Talking about the game environment, it's so much convincing. The place you are exploring seems to be real and not imaginary. You may find Gone Home more or less like a time machine. Even the game's superb ambient score gives you the sense that even though the entire house is empty, there is some kind of energy present all around the place. As you keep exploring the house, you will actually get to know what Greenbriars have been going through. There will be a time when you have no puzzles to solve and there will be nothing that can take you out of your journey. The story line of the game is in so much detail that almost every letter or document you pick up gives you some relevant information about the Greenbriars life.

Gone Home's execution process is flawless. You will be driven by the story you listen to, from the person who is absent throughout the game. In other words, even though you cannot see anyone inside the house, you will always feel the presence of Greenbriars around you.

Gone Home is an important game to play as it does something that other games can never do. This game describes a believable story set in the real world that considers every single character of the game as complex individuals.

If you are among those, who respect the story line of a game and are fond of the elegance with which such an interesting tale is constructed and narrated, maybe you should try out this game.

IBB and OBB Puzzle Game Review

It looks so strange when something that looks so calm and catchy can sometimes grow weird and frustrating. Same is the case with the new IBB and OBB puzzle game.

Even though the art is simple, charming and colourful with amazing soundtrack, the real challenge starts at 2D puzzle platform world that has been made quite challenging by introducing duelling forces of gravitational rules and puzzles. One has to definitely be in touch with other players constantly, so as to make through the harder levels at the later stages. Believe it or not, but this method of coordinating and playing actually makes this brain-bending puzzle even more rewarding and interesting.

Throughout the 15 different levels, the base or the idea of the split-gravity world remains the same. At some places gravity is normal, whereas at other places, its upside-down. One can easily differentiate between the two just by looking at the different background colours. Initials stages are all about overcoming the gravity learning curves but with the introduction of higher levels, things like floating bubbles and continuous loops actually makes puzzle more challenging and delightful. There are certain elements in the game that repeats too often, making you feel as if there is some kind of bug/error that makes the puzzle almost impossible to solve. But with little experiment and analysis, one can easily overcome tricks/trips, required for solving higher level puzzles.

However, level of difficulty increases from 8th level, where the designs are too complex, making it hard to understand puzzle. Only the cooperative puzzle-solving technique can make you cross the levels of IBB and OBB. Most of the levels are well-balanced, which makes the gameplay equal for both the players. Also in between the gameplay, if one player dies, other would die too. There are several spiky enemies that release crystals upon dying and the player has to complete as many crystals as possible.

In the single-player gaming mode, both IBB and OBB stick together and are controlled by one player. But this twin-stick-style will not work in the later difficult levels where the contribution of an additional player is required, so as to complete that particular level. Playing in a multi-player mode is quite fun as your stupidity or cleverness will have a direct impact on the gameplay of the other player. Even though it feels great to co-ordinate and work as a team, but in case of online games, this concept does not work so well. Sometimes, finding a co-operative team member online seems to be more frustrating than anything else. As its difficult to communicate with your team partner online without speaking any word, one can use the right stick to draw a line and indicate your partner something specific or important from game point of view.

Overall, IBB and OBB is an excellent 2D based puzzle game based on a unique gravitational concept and a well-coordinated gameplay. It lacks a separate single-player mode but apart from this, IBB and OBB is boasted with brilliant puzzles having superb difficult levels that makes the repetitive level designs easy to forgive. In simple words, IBB and OBB is a must to play game, but only if you pick up a good and reliable partner online.
