Q.U.B.E. short form for Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion is the latest launch by Toxic Games. The game takes you to a secret passage from where you will have to find your way by solving puzzles and moving blocks. When you play this game you will experience a sense of nostalgia especially if you have played the Valve game, Portal in the past. However, the games are not similar in any regard except that they look very similar.

Disappointingly, although Q.U.B.E. belongs to the puzzle genre, it fails to create the kind of intriguing and fun world that Portal or Valve created. You find yourself waking up in an elevator moving downwards and all you know is that you are slipping on a pair of super-gloves that have penlights at its tips. And then you may find yourself in this sterile facility that has stark white walls. The room is filled with colorful intermittent blocks which can all be handled differently. For instance, the blue blocks can be stepped upon in order to raise it in the air and the red blocks can be raised by touching them with the super-gloves. Q.U.B.E really shines with its puzzles that have been worked out logically. The puzzles are very challenging to keep you intrigued to continue to the next level, but never a headache to solve.
