You can play a lot of educational games with your children, and this types of games are very good, because they develop a lot of your children's skills and they are a pleasant way for kids to learn new things about the world.
You can educate your children to eat healthy since their early ages, and you can do this mainly by offering them a diet full of diversity, with plenty of healthy foods, good for your kids' organism. Another method would be to talk with the children about the nutritional pyramid, and offer them as much information as you can about the nutrients in various aliments, and their importance in humans' diet.
An entertaining and pleasant manner to learn the kids about healthy diets would be to let them play computer games which have this theme. You can download from Internet also drawing books, which can develop children's creativity and make learning about plants and animals around the house easier. Nutrition games can contain also useful information for learning other things, like math or geography, because children can learn counting specific types of vegetables or foods, or they can make analogies between the foods and their provenience source.
I think it is important to involve children too in the cooking activities, because it is very good for them to learn from early ages how to prepare specific foods, and this will be useful for them when they are home alone, or when they will be far away from home. Children can learn recipes in a pleasant matter, and they also improve their memory capacity, by memorizing simple recipes.

A lot of kids like having small gardens and taking care of little plants and animals, and you can create them a little corner in the garden for this, and help them maintain it alive.

Yes, aside from indulging our kids to fun child games, i think it is important as well to lett our kids involve in the cooking activities as they will not only learn to cook at an early age bu they can as well build a good bond with the parents.

Cognitive and intellectual development centers on activities of the brain like imagination, smiling, language, working out and laughing are also enhanced. Playing different games of some sort refine the different areas of physical and mental development in young kids.
